  • Better than Expected!

"Our family owns a villa on the Plantation but due to construction in our building we opted to rent a condo for a recent visit. I chose this particular unit (based upon location, size and decor) after previewing many others on VRBO. The condo did not disappoint. Very well maintained, tasteful, calming decor (LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the flooring), spacious floor plan and balcony. The view was amazing. The building is located just a few steps from the beach and a short scenic stroll to the hotel. The management company (thanks again, L) was so friendly and pleasure to work with. After this enjoyable stay we are considering purchasing a villa for ourselves in Sand Castles."

  • Fantastic!

"Clean, beautiful, spacious accommodations. Beautiful views from most every room. Very quite, safe, and family oriented resort. The owner was easy to work with as we planned a last minute get away and arrived to the resort even before he received our cleaning/damage deposit in the mail. We had a perfect Fall Break!"

  • First Visit to Amelia Island!

"I arranged for a tennis get away for 12 ladies and this was one of the Shipwatch condos that we rented. The condo was very clean and the view was truly amazing. The location was very convenient to the pool and the beach too. The owner went above and beyond with suggestions for our trip to make it a success. He was very helpful in arranging bike rentals, restaurant suggestions and activities on Amelia Island Plantation. He was also very patient with all of the questions I had. We had such a great time we only left AIP 1 time for dinner and found ourselves no wanting to leave again. We will definitely make this an annual adventure!"

  • Didn't want to leave!

"We love the ocean. When we get to visit Amelia Island, we spend at least six hours every day surfing and playing at Huguenot Memorial Park. We park on the beach loaded with everything we could possibly need that day. This villa was perfect for our needs! It was close to Huguenot. It had a private courtyard to keep our surfboards safely outside. After spending the day on the beach, coming "home" and heading straight to the rocking chairs on the screened porch with an iced coffee was wonderfully relaxing! Then, my two teenage daughters would help me cook dinner. We would all sit around the dining table surrounded by floor to ceiling windows and re-live our day and make plans to go back the next day. (Did I mention we love the beach?!) One evening we were able to entertain our friends for dinner, Jim and Debi who own Fort George Surf Shop. They, too, were impressed with the villa. The kitchen was great, had every small appliance and gadget you could need. The dishes were beautiful. Everything was clean and high quality. Even the drive to the villa through the resort was amazing with all the live oak trees canopied over the road. We truly experienced a vacation! Oh, if you arrive after dark, get clear directions from the security guard. It's like driving through a dark jungle if you aren't familiar with the resort!"
