  • Perfect Mother's Day Vacation

"I brought my mom here for a long weekend over Mother's Day and she raved about it the entire time. It was quiet, shady and beautiful, and within walking distance of the beach. It's also near lots of shops and some restaurants and includes a couple of parks. We explored the area one afternoon on bikes (rented from a place within the plantation) and were the only ones at the pool later on that evening. My mom and I also appreciated being only 20 minutes from downtown Fernandina Beach, where we hung out two afternoons in a row. The condo itself was tastefully decorated, spacious, had all the necessities and was pretty clean. There were some corners and crevices that could have been cleaner, but no biggie. I did have a parking question after hours the evening we got there, so I left a message with the renter and he got back to me shortly after. It was just like the pictures but better."

  • Pleasant Beach House

"We are just finishing up a very pleasant stay at Treasure Chest. We used to live inland near here and come back to see friends and enjoy the beach. This cozy cottage worked very well for entertaining a few friends in casual beach style. The gas grill came in very handy, as did the parking. The kitchen is small but cute and very well stocked. No ice maker but I prefer to buy ice since the water is, uh, Florida water. The umbrella on the deck provided nice shade. The property manager was very responsive to a couple of minor issues. The deck table and chairs are getting a bit rusty (put a towel on your chair) and the deck wood itself is splintering and will need replacement soon. I would not recommend this cottage for small children until that project is done. But it was fine with teens and adults. We wore our flip flops or walked carefully to avoid a cut or splinter. The yard is fenced if you close the gates across the driveway. Also, we were able to use plastic deck chairs to block off part of the deck to allow our terrier to keep us company on the deck. (I wasn't comfortable leaving her unsupervised down below, but that due to her nature, not the property.) Most interior doors don't lock (which bothered my teen when he wanted to change or shower). The view is lovely and the beach uncrowded. The cottage is walking distance or easy drive to Publix and restaurants. I love the location."

  • My children and i loved the condo, the beach and the view awesome!

"Our fist impression was WOW, then we looked around and found boards for the ocean puzzles books, beach chairs. It was really nice being next to the patio with grilling. I would recommend this condo to everyone."

  • Perfect place, fair price and excellent service!

"We vacationed in Florida dozens of times, including Amelia Island. This vacation was definitely one of the best ever. The Island got it all: beach, sand, birds, dolphins, marshland and tidal creeks, but also shops, pier, bars, you name it. The condo was perfect, from all perspectives. The Manager (Rhona) was very helpful, flexible and accommodated all our needs. Highey recommended!"
