  • Would stay again - true Florida Condo

"Unit is exactly like seen in pictures. Interior is above average and has been updated, nice pictures on every wall, kitchen updated, bathrooms updated. The overall complex is older but well maintained. The complex architect didn't just put up a tall rectangular box - architecture is very unique and added to "feel" of the stay. The grounds are well maintained and wood walkways connect all the units and pools. My kids are early twenties and both agreed it was a "cool" complex. We are from Orlando and have stayed in lots of Florida condo's so for my adult kids to give a thumbs up says something. The buildings are alphabetized, A and B have the best oceanside views, this unit is in building D so it is behind A & B but still has good views from the living room and master. We are used to New Smyrna beach with units right on beach so walk to beach is longer via a nice wood plank walkway but I commend St Augustine for protecting the dunes. Beach was very clean. You only get one reserved parking space and one guest space but on this weekend that was not a problem. TV's are all large flat screens. Did not notice till leaving that they had a Roku box for even more viewing options but who wants to watch TV when at beach! You are on 3rd floor with no elevator but didn't bother us even when bringing all our junk in on first day. There are lots of closets and the in-unit washer dryer was nice to keep up with dirty laundry. Really can't think of a thing to complain about the unit. Thumbs up to Vacation Rental Pros and their mobile APP - we had a minor problem with the vertical blinds and they responded quickly and understood we would prefer they fix after we left. Their App was pretty cool - just be sure to click on the arrows to see full message. I guess we did have one complaint - having to check out by 10am. So last day was not a "last day" but a very quick morning, get up and go. We asked about late checkout and were told it was same price as full day rental - calendar showed it was vacant next day - seems they and the owner should consider that and either offer noon checkout for free or maybe $50-$80 to stay till lunch time."

  • Our Perfect Escape - Again & Again

"We've stayed here four times in the past five years and we love it more each time! The house is super cozy. The yard is completely private and its only a two minute walk to the beach. Jackie is very easy to work with and very accommodating. Within easy walking distance of Publix and many other restaurants and shops, and yet still secluded from the hustle and bustle - thanks to the high privacy fence. The decor is charming - both inside and out. Touches of art deco highlight the interior while the yard is beachy themed with many geckos for entertainment. We drive all the way from Wisconsin and each time it's like stepping back in time and all the tensions (and Northern chills) just slip away. We feel like its our home away from home."

  • If you're considering booking, do it!

"Staying at Ebb Tide for my 10 year anniversary was such a lovely and unique experience. Laurie was always very quick to respond to any questions or concerns and she was incredibly kind and accommodating. You are literally walking distance from the beach, and just a stone's throw from the bridge to the beach. It takes about 15 minutes to get to downtown Saint Augustine, which felt very fast with the beautiful scenery of the bridge. It took us about 2-5 minutes to get there and it's a pretty private walk. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and pretty private, and we went while it was cloudy and sometimes rainy! Laurie provides beach chairs and umbrellas under the car port, but you might want to bring your own since they're a bit rusted. Word of warning: Don't take your beach umbrella to the beach if the winds are high -- it will invert! lol The house itself reminds me a lot of the Keys (as does Saint Augustine Beach in general), old with charm and well-kept. You might also want to bring your own beach and bath towels as the ones provided are a bit thin and rough. Also, be careful stepping in and out of the shower, as they are not at the same level -- I almost tripped on my way out the first time lol. There is a very convenient fenced-in yard accessible from the master bedroom, and a second bedroom with bunkbeds and twin beds. Having a washer and dryer available at a beach rental is very useful. The access from the carport was one of my favorite features as well, since it gives privacy and covers you if it's raining. I think the pictures don't do the house justice; the main living area is actually much bigger than it appears in the pictures, and was definitely my favorite "spot" to hang out in the house. The neighborhood felt very safe and beachy. There is some construction going on at a nearby house, but you won't hear any noises or be bothered by it at all. You may have trouble planning your trip since you'll find you want to stay on the island a lot, but also go downtown a lot! There were so many things to do. As for restaurants on the actual island, I think SaltLife Food Shack was a bit overrated, but Sunset Grille was excellent, as was a French bakery called Les Petit Pleasures (order the Spinach and Cheese on a croissant and any crepe!), which looks not-so-great from the outside but is truly a hidden gem. Also, Beachcomber was a pleasant surprise -- the carrot cake is amazing! We will definitely be back! Thanks again for everything Laurie!"

"Beautiful beachfront condo! Perfect for two! Everything was clean and neat. Had a small problem with air conditioning, but unit was fixed in just a couple hours thanks to Endless Summer Realty!! Unfortunately we had to leave a day early due to hurricane Matthew!!! Hope no damage to the unit!! It is truly a gem!!!"
