  • The property was great, we had a great time. VRBO on the other hand is a total ripoff and a scam!!!

"ATTENTION PERSON READING THIS REVIEW - YOU MAY BE GETTING RIPPED OFF RIGHT NOW! I should have gone directly through the rental management office, which is what I thought I was doing, until I got home and found an UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE ON MY CREDIT CARD FROM VRBO. At no time during the entire booking process did I realize I was using a third party booking agency and at no time did I authorize them to charge me $67.67 just for booking my room with another company. I called VRBO to find out why I was charged, where is my receipt, and where during the booking process did I agree to pay that fee. I got some lady that mumbled and muffle-talked her way through the slowest explanation that made no sense. She wanted to tell me all of the benefits that come with using VRBO and I had to ask her over and over to repeat herself because I could not understand anything she just said. I don't care what VRBO brings to the table - I want to know where I agreed to this service in the first place. The more questions I asked, the harder it became to understand her. I finally hung up and filed a complaint with the rental property management themselves. They told me from now on just to call them directly. Vacation Rental Pros, the property management firm, is GREAT. Go directly to them. The property was great - but DO NOT BOOK IT ON THE WEBSITE YOU ARE CURRENTLY VIEWING YOU ARE BEING RIPPED OFF."

  • Comfortable condo at the beach

"We just returned from our week stay at this lovely condo. Half-way home we contemplated turning around and going back! We truly enjoyed the condo and it's very short walk to the beach. Clean, quiet (even facing the two pools!) and with an ocean view, it was a welcome retreat! Pat was very attentive and quick to respond to any questions we had, which was much appreciated. Close to town, grocery stores and anything else you might want, a great location. For a great dinner out and a memorable evening, we highly suggest Caps on the Water. Caps has great food, beautiful setting on their deck under the Spanish moss in the trees strung with lights that sits over looking the water. Our son also has severe food allergies and they were SO attentive and took excellent care of him, he always looks forward to his grouper dinner at Caps! We took a kayaking Eco-tour (St. Augustine Eco-Tours) one day and it was fantastic. Ask for J.D., he is a knowledgeable and laid back guide who's company you will enjoy! The beach is beautiful and we were able to watch a Space X launch one morning at 1 a.m.! Sea turtle nests were in abundance as well and we got to know some of the turtle patrol and learn more about the turtles on our daily walks. It was also nice not to have to bring all of our beach gear with us as the outside closet at the condo had everything we needed for an afternoon on the beach. We look forward to coming back in the future!"

  • Great House Great Location

"My wife, I and 3 children just returned from a week at the Royal Swan. The house is has a luxury feel with marble, columns, and nice furniture. The bedrooms are large and we had more than enough living space. The detached in-law suite was great for the teenager. We found that we spent much of our time on the inner courtyard next to the pool. The pool itself runs about 4 ft deep and is amply large enough for the children to swim and play. The location near St Augustine allowed for plenty of sightseeing and restaurants are readily available. Beach access is a bit tricky but we were able to drive to one of the many nearby parks. We found the beaches uncrowded and pleasant. There are a lot of lizards about and on the hottest nights, the tree frogs can be a bit loud. The entire area has a Spanish architecture and the community is very well maintained. All in all a great place to visit."

  • We LOVE this place!!!!

"This is our second visit here... I am 50 and my mother will be 87 shortly. The accommodations are perfect for us. I can work on-line from my room with a beautiful view and she can sit in her room or in the living room and watch the ocean. There isnt a bad view to be had. We also love having a view of the intracoastal... the sunsets are gorgeous. I love to run the beach and swim in the pool... you just couldnt ask for more. It is beachy and yet close enough for day trips into St Aug. We keep finding new things we want to do "next time". We really love the area and esp. this condo."
