  • PERFECT Beach House

"This home is immaculate! Perfect location just a short walk to the beach (less than a block.) There are several restaurants within walking distance, also. We ate a late lunch at Mango Mango and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. A couple of our kids grabbed food from the Taco Stand and really enjoyed it. Our family stayed here while attending a beach wedding, and we were beyond pleased with the house. All the beds were comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with all high-end appliances (although I didn't get a chance to use the stove!) Each floor has a spacious balcony with seating, where the adults enjoyed sitting outside while the kids napped within earshot. Plenty of room to spread out for three couples with young children. Every single amenity is provided for indoor or outdoor use. Pool toys, beach toys, boogie boards, chairs, beach towels for the pool and beach. Plenty of room to park two cars in the garage, also! Pool area is nice; although I would consider it small for a large group if there are older kids. Our children were seven and younger, so pool size wasn't an issue. The pool was almost completely shaded by trees and house, so if you want to sunbathe you'll need to go to the beach. It was perfect for us, though! Plenty of pool toys and seating. The Owners were very responsive, answering questions via email within minutes. The property management company was AMAZING! We stopped on our way into town and were greeted by a cheerful smile. We asked if we could park at the house while we went to the beach until check in time and were pleasantly surprised when the home was ready. Totally unexpected; and we were so appreciative. We completely enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again in this beautiful home!"

  • Perfect beach getaway!

"Our family absolutely loved our stay in St Augustine. The house was exactly what we wanted. Right on the beach, which works perfectly as everyone could come and go as they wanted. The house had all necessary amenities and the decor was nice. We hope to return for another stay in the future."

  • If you're considering booking, do it!

"Staying at Ebb Tide for my 10 year anniversary was such a lovely and unique experience. Laurie was always very quick to respond to any questions or concerns and she was incredibly kind and accommodating. You are literally walking distance from the beach, and just a stone's throw from the bridge to the beach. It takes about 15 minutes to get to downtown Saint Augustine, which felt very fast with the beautiful scenery of the bridge. It took us about 2-5 minutes to get there and it's a pretty private walk. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and pretty private, and we went while it was cloudy and sometimes rainy! Laurie provides beach chairs and umbrellas under the car port, but you might want to bring your own since they're a bit rusted. Word of warning: Don't take your beach umbrella to the beach if the winds are high -- it will invert! lol The house itself reminds me a lot of the Keys (as does Saint Augustine Beach in general), old with charm and well-kept. You might also want to bring your own beach and bath towels as the ones provided are a bit thin and rough. Also, be careful stepping in and out of the shower, as they are not at the same level -- I almost tripped on my way out the first time lol. There is a very convenient fenced-in yard accessible from the master bedroom, and a second bedroom with bunkbeds and twin beds. Having a washer and dryer available at a beach rental is very useful. The access from the carport was one of my favorite features as well, since it gives privacy and covers you if it's raining. I think the pictures don't do the house justice; the main living area is actually much bigger than it appears in the pictures, and was definitely my favorite "spot" to hang out in the house. The neighborhood felt very safe and beachy. There is some construction going on at a nearby house, but you won't hear any noises or be bothered by it at all. You may have trouble planning your trip since you'll find you want to stay on the island a lot, but also go downtown a lot! There were so many things to do. As for restaurants on the actual island, I think SaltLife Food Shack was a bit overrated, but Sunset Grille was excellent, as was a French bakery called Les Petit Pleasures (order the Spinach and Cheese on a croissant and any crepe!), which looks not-so-great from the outside but is truly a hidden gem. Also, Beachcomber was a pleasant surprise -- the carrot cake is amazing! We will definitely be back! Thanks again for everything Laurie!"

  • Wonderful spring break rental

"This rental worked out perfect for our spring break vacation. Honestly the pictures do not do the home justice as it was nicer then we expected with plenty of room for our family of five and our maltipoo. The house is such a short walk right to beach and from front balcony you can see and hear the ocean. There are two large sliding doors that we kept open during the day to feel the ocean breezes. Beach is very quiet and private with no condos around so we felt like we had our own little slice of the beach. We took our dog on the beach everyday and he had the absolute best week of his whole puppy life. The front porch is great for eating on and the crows nest is great for watching the sunset (and flying kites). The kitchen is well stocked and we ate most meals at the house. I loved how roomy and spacious the layout was giving our teenagers plenty of room to spread out. We did laundry every night which is so helpful with our large family and all their beach towels. Also a nice little backyard convenient for taking our puppy out. We also really appreciated the owners leaving information on suggested restaurants and the "cool and not cool" list of things to do in St.Augustine."
