  • Awesome Spring Break Location!

"Just got back yesterday from a wonderful week in this lovely condo! The view hits you as soon as you unlock the front door - it is stunning! The owner has thought of everything to make your vacation easier. We have rented many homes over the years at various beaches and this was the first time I didn't have to bring beach towels (there is a huge basket of them), or beach chairs or an umbrella - all which take up so much room in the car. We were just one family of 5, so we had plenty of bath towels/linens, but there were still plenty if you were a larger group - the two linen closets are stocked and labeled. The kitchen have EVERYTHING - which my husband so appreciated since he is the chef of the family, and commented how nice it was to have good knives to work with. It is clear that this is someone's home, which is being graciously shared, yet you don't feel at all uncomfortable - it is all so welcoming. I loved watching the sunrise from the master bedroom, or the balcony or even from the comfortable reading spot near the floor to ceiling windows in the living room. That is where i usually sat after a day in the sun, with a glass of wine before dinner. Lastly, this condo is very deep, so the bedrooms have plenty of space between them and everyone felt like they had private space to hang out in when needed, especially my teenage girls. This was our first time to St. Augustine and we loved it! The beach was quiet and gorgeous and the kids were in the pool every day if we weren't out sightseeing. We toured the lighthouse, rented a boat, took an evening ghost tour and did a few other famous structures in the old city. We all really want to come back and would love to stay at Denise's home again."

  • Great stay, cottage and location are awesome!

"My girlfriends and I enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Location was great the cottage was very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy the beach! The beach was beautiful and there is a great pool also. The owner Jodi was very nice and made sure we had all the info we needed. She also checked in to make sure we were able to check in without issue. We will definitely return!"

  • Perfect Labor Day Getaway!

"This condo was awesome- and a perfect place for a relaxing weekend away. It was my first time using VRBO (we usually use AirBnB) but we were SO impressed! Danele sent some awesome restaurant recommendations, and super easy to follow instructions for checking in and out. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the bed was SO comfortable - having a washer and dryer was very convenient. Our pup loved his first time in salt water, and made friends with everyone on the beach (which was a short 5-10min walk from the condo!) The grounds of the condo are great as well, and we loved the pool and shuffleboard. Being only a $8 uber from downtown, it was easy to get back and forth (go to the Ice Plant- it was delicious). For the price you can't get better! Thank you so much Danele, we can't wait to come back!!"

  • Rustic A-Frame directly on the beach

"It's about location, location, location. The "Beachcomber" is a rustic beachfront A-Frame single family rental located one block from busy A1A Beach Blvd at the end of a quiet street that ends at a public beach access (still very private). There is driveway off-street parking for three cars. The house is conveniently located within short walking distance to several dog friendly restaurants, a Wednesday Farmers' Market, fire and rescue services and the Town Pier. It is also only a 15 minute drive (depending on traffic) to Old Town St. Augustine. The second floor kitchen is well equipped for cooking and dining. The appliances are of low end quality, but work well. The two full baths are updated and clean. The towels and linens are of good quality. The beds are comfortable although the full bed in the top floor master suite has a very creaky frame that "talks" with the slightest movement. The mismatched, but functional older furniture matches the rustic, casual nature of the house. We noticed an unpleasant odor on the ground floor near the laundry room that a previous reviewer mentioned. We found that the exterior flap from the dryer vent was broken away and that the vent duct was apparently full. Our terrific rental agent, Cindy, got right on it and had the repairs done. No more odor was evident. Access to the third floor master suite is by way of a narrow spiral staircase with no risers on the steps. It might pose a problem for someone with mobility issues and for some dogs that dislike these kinds of steps. Our small dog mastered the stairs after encouragement and seemed quite proud of herself whenever she went up and down for no apparent reason - simply for the satisfaction of doing it? The WiFi worked great. The DISH TV package available on the four flatscreens had no ESPN ! Our children and grandchildren visited over Presidents' Week and loved the house, the location, the beach and the city of St. Augustine. We ate most meals which occurred during daylight hours on the outside picnic table on the deck which overlooks the beach and ocean. The only sounds at night are those of the waves crashing on the beach. Suffice it to say that we are looking forward to coming back next year . . . IT IS ON THE BEACH !"
