  • In Spite of Hurricane Hermine!

"My wife and I, along with our Shiz Tzu, Pattycakes, celebrated our 22 anniversary and wanted to stay in St. Augustine. Steve, the owner of this property, contacted us and we made arrangments for our stay. He was very gracious and accommodating. We arrived late Friday night due to events caused by Hurricane Hermine. This location is perfect for a couple who just wants to get away and enjoy what all St. Augustine has to offer! Nothing fancy or frilly, just good ole down to earth, being at the beach accommodations. Everything you need along with friendly folks in the RV park. Beautiful beach and access to use of two swimming pools located in the park. No riff-raff, just families wanting to be together and enjoy one last 3-day weekend of the summer during Labor Day! Thank you Steve for sharing your property with us! ."

  • Perfect spot for relaxation!

"This property was beautiful! The location is perfect to wake up and watch the sunrise over the ocean. A short walk to the beach access. 2 bedrooms are very large, master with private bath has plenty of room to relax after a long day. 2nd bedroom has 2 queen beds and a bath across the hall and large walking closet. 3rd bedroom should not really be called a bedroom but more of a library. It has a pull out couch with a mattress about 4 inches thick and not comfortable. There is a private bath but only with a toilet and sink, the 3rd shower is off the garage (4 flights of stairs down) in the laundry room and has a toilet and shower, so there isn't really a complete "3rd bathroom". More like 2 full and 2 half baths. No closet in the 3rd bedroom but instead a wall hanging coat rack. When the sofa bed is open you can hardly fit around the corner it takes up the entire room. Was a little disappointing for 3 adult couples but the rest of the property made up for it. Very large drive through garage was great for our motorcycles! All 3 bedrooms have ocean view, living room has ocean view as well. Kitchen well supplied with everything you need. Some sort of ceiling work was going on when we were there, outside the linen closet the ceiling was torn up and insulation was hanging through the large hole. Otherwise the property was very nice. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Right off A1A and minutes from restaurants and shops, easy access to I-95."

  • Great place to stay with your family including the dog!

"Our family of 5 adults and 1 additional furry family member really enjoyed our stay at Ocean Village Club Q23. It was bright and comfortable and we didn't lack a thing during our stay. This condo is especially nice because it's so close to the pool and boardwalk to the beach. Everything was very clean and the grounds and pool area are especially well maintained. We grilled out one evening, cooked most meals in the well stocked kitchen. (We are big "foodies" and some of the fry pans could be upgraded a bit because the Teflon is worn and our food stuck to many of the pans but not a big deal) There was a water boil order for all of St. Augustine beach area the first 2 days we arrived but the complex kept us well informed and even had bagged ice for us in the freezer. All the beds were very comfortable except the sleeper sofa. Although I've never met a sleeper sofa that was comfortable to sleep on and it got our son out of the bed earlier! Awesome beach for bike riding, jogging or walking/ Be sure to get up early one morning to watch the sunrise (a must!) We enjoyed several trips into St, Augustine for church and dinner (only a short drive) and our favorite restaurant was a cute restaurant called The Gas Full Service Restaurant-- on the left just before the bridge into St. Augustine All 5 of our meals were fabulous! When plan to come back to St. Augustine- and will recommend Ocean Village Club properties to other friends."

  • Fun Family vacation!

"Had a great family vacation and was our first time renting a home. Brian answered all my questions quickly and made me feel secure. Everything we needed was in the home and we loved the pool. The beach was not crowded at all over Labor day weekend and was just perfectly lovely. My only issue was when I turned the oven on to pre-heat a bunch of black smoke came from the oven-turnout and I found that about an inch sized piece of plastic was melting and burning on the bottom corner of the oven. I'm pretty sure I would have missed it, even had I looked for something other than removing the pots that were in the oven-lol. The smoke did no damage and the culprit (it's a guess here) was a little pizza disc so the box doesn't hit the pizza? Anyway that's the only guess i can think of from the inch of plastic that was left-lol. It just pealed off the bottom of the oven easily but it started the vacation with a bit of extra work for me since I knew we were going to cook a bit (our hobby) but the oven worked perfectly all week so I'm sure this was just a fluke on the cleaning peoples department. The house was perfectly clean other than the flammable plastic piece in the oven. I highly recommend this house and if you can drag yourself away from the beach, we really enjoyed the Savory Fare Food tour. The food was fantastic and it was a lot of fun."
