  • Lovely new house on stunning beachfront property

"We were 2 adults and 3 children and had a great visit to Sea Salt recently: brand new home with direct beach views and private access to St. Augustine Beach. Quiet, residential neighborhood. Comfy beds, new-looking linens. Good water pressure in showers. Big kitchen with new appliances open to dining/living room. Supermarket a short drive. Many great restaurants, ice cream a short drive or within walking distance. Very clean and well-maintained overall. A coffee table would be a nice addition to deck off living room for meals outside. 4WD cars allowed on beach and I was ready not to like this but they kept out of the way--not a problem at all. Construction on house next door but not a bother. Had a wonderful visit and thoroughly enjoyed this lovely property and town--thank you!"

  • Perfect location!

"Plenty of space, tons of bedrooms, and everything you need for a beach experience from towels to chairs. Only small complaint was internet and TV was spotty and actually only worked one day but who can complain when you're at the beach. We stayed here for a wedding so it was perfect!"

  • Perfect Oceanfront Home for a Family Reunion

"Nineteen family members, ages one to seventy one rented Cottages 1 and 2 at Seaside Cottages. This beautiful property is as listed regarding location, layout and amenities. The decorations are just as pictured from artwork to the bedding on all of the beds. The kitchen is up to date with all appliances, cookware, bar ware, dishes and silverware.. Everything anyone could possibly need. The upper deck has a fantastic view of the ocean with a lot of outdoor furniture. The lower patio and back BBQ area are very nice and comfortable. We took advantage of the grills several of the nights. The beach is only a short walk awa;y. We hired a local photographer to take family pictures on the beach. A lot of fun!! Great place to stay!!!"

  • Very Nice Beach Cottage

"We arrived just before Christmas 2016. Great location, right on the beach, short walk to the shoreline, great view. We loved the atmosphere, very quaint and large wooden deck and screened in patio were nice touches. Older property, so the bathrooms are very tiny, in fact had to sit almost sideways on the north side bathroom and had to remove the roll of toilet paper to be somewhat "comfortable." The other bathroom is a tiny bit larger, but not much. Showers, no tubs. Everything worked ok, just dated appliances and such, but they work. Nice feel to the living area and the TV gets many good cable channels. Lots of very cool tortoises that live around the dunes, great fun looking at them :) Overall a very nice stay. Just a couple of things that could make it better: If you don't have a daily cleaning service, you should leave enough towels for four or five people. One set for each is not enough if staying for a week or so since there is no washer or dryer in the cottage. We had black ants in the kitchen and the bathrooms. Not overrun, but they were scouting. In damp areas, I feel you need to treat for pests monthly, so it needs a treatment, now. There were old asphalt shingles strewn about the grassy areas in front and the front circle driveway. We realize the hurricane caused it, but time to pick it up and throw the shingles in the garbage. The deck had a persistent wasp trying to make a nest under it, etc. The decking and railing, etc. are old, so in time, it will rot through and become a step hazard. At some point, it would be good to have the railing replaced to avoid splinters and possible breakage from normal use. It was OK for us, so not urgent, but should be addressed. There was also only one roll of toilet paper for each bathroom. Not enough for 5 or 6 people for a week. We realize we have to buy stuff to cook and basic stuff, but in the hotel industry, the hotel or rental should provide the toilet paper. One small bar of soap, no shampoo or anything for the bathrooms, so it is bare bones. Providing it would be cheap and a nicer, more hospitible touch, but I guess soap is too expensive? The only other thing that would make it a 5 star vs a 4 star is that it would be really great to have a hot tub on the deck so that you could watch the ocean and take a hot tubber, but that is optional and would not prevent us from visiting again. :) Old St. Augustine is a short 4 mile drive to the north and there are plenty of places to eat and shop."
