  • Wonderful for family with kids!

"We enjoyed this awesome 2 bedroom townhome this week!! Our 5 year old was ecstatic that the pool was in our "backyard" and as a mom I was ecstatic that it has a full kitchen equipped with all the essentials! My husband and I enjoyed our stay with our little family."

  • Happy at Ebb Tide

"My husband and I rented Ebb Tide from Laurie this past winter and felt so much at home we did not want to leave. It is a lovely and welcoming place. Laurie warmly greeted us and oriented us to the house, the neighborhood , the beautiful beach just a few steps away, and the town itself. She provided bikes for us to ride and many household amenities. Ebb Tide is bright, spacious and cozy all at the same time. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our dog and for late afternoon reading. We loved the accommodations, perfect for us and large enough for family to visit. We enjoyed the quiet and leisurely life as well as the short stroll to the beautiful beach . We have already booked with Laurie for next winter for a much longer time in our home away from home."

  • Overall, the place is nice.

"For the negatives, I missed having some basic kitchen items such as condiments of salt, pepper and other spices of which I have been accustomed when staying in condos where we usually vacation. Also, some cooking items were limited such as spatulas and skillets. Another issue is our friends who were with us said the mattresses on the twin beds were not very comfortable. On the outside patio there are only 2 chairs so I would suggest a couple more chairs be added (or preferably replaced with 4 high bar style ones for better ocean viewing) in order for 2 couples to enjoy the outside area together. On the positive, the condo was fairly clean and is comfortable overall. I particularly enjoyed the idea of t.v.s in both bedrooms as well as downstairs in the living room; I say the idea because we had difficulty with the remote for the one in the master bedroom; however, I am sure that issue is very easily rectified. With the condo having an upstairs the extra half bath downstairs is very convenient and it was especially nice to have since we had local guests a couple times for a few hours. The unit is decorated well and comfortable plus has a pretty ocean view from both the master bedroom and the living room. The people who were staying in other condos there were very nice, friendly and helpful; I am guessing many have stayed there before so the environment was relaxing and quiet. Overall, the unit is nice, maintained well and for those who can comfortably climb steps it is a nice place to stay. In conclusion, we really loved the beach there at Crescent Beach as it was not at all crowded and also is very wide and pretty plus it is only a short drive to restaurants and attractions."

  • Great Neighborhood Close to the Beach

"Overall, we had a wonderful vacation at Playa Haus. The decks are comfortable at all hours of the day and the house's location can't be beaten. The walk to St Augustine's gorgeous beach was an easy one. Our dogs loved their long twice-daily walks along the water. The downstairs apartment worked well for us when we had company. They appreciated the privacy and the separate entrance. It was an easy ride to get into the city while being close to several good restaurants in the beach area. Our dinner at the Ice Plant at the distillery, lunches at Aunt Kate's and breakfast at Georgie's Diner were all great. We loved both the Wednesday and the Saturday farmers markets along A-1-A. While the house was comfortable, there are some suggestions we would make. Our first evening in the house was cool. We could only find one throw on the main floor. Later we located a comforter on the lower level. There should be some light blankets available when the bed covers are not enough. The kitchen was more than well-supplied with dishes, cooking utensils and glassware. In fact it was so well-stocked that there was no room for groceries. Perhaps the cabinets could be thinned out a bit to mke room for renters' purchases. Renters with sensitivity to scents would also appreciate detergents and dish liquid that are unscented. We rented a couple of DVD's from the red Box at Walgreens, but we couldn't figure out how to use the DVD/Bluray player in the living room. Maybe the owners could write out instructons on using the player that may be different from the ones renters are used to. I probably sound a little negative in this review. I just want the owner to consider ways to make his/her renters even more comfortable. The house was cute, clean and nicely decorated. In fact, we have already booked the house for our vacation next year."
