  • Feel Confident Staying Here!

"We are a mom and dad with six children, ranging from toddler to teens. This house was perfect for us. First, the location is near-perfect! It would only be better if it was ON the beach, but then we couldn't afford it! This was a quick, easy stroll to the sand. I took my coffee down to watch the sun rise each morning. Blissful! Oh, we forgot some toys back at the house? No problem, just run back to get them! Perhaps the best part was NO CARS on this stretch of beach! The four bedrooms were surprisingly spacious and charmingly decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathrooms (and the whole house) were immaculate. The pergola patio led to some of our happiest times. We brought board games but the house had many, including Apples to Apples Junior, which was fun for our younger AND older kids. The handy storage area had boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, and a cooler. Don't rent a cooler, like we did! There's a big one there for you! Thank you to the home owners for the privilege of getting to stay in your lovely home! May all of your rentals be trouble-free."

  • Beautiful Vacation Home

"The house was beautiful, clean and better than the pictures. Only complaint and it was huge for me. I am a business owner and had to have internet, it was payroll week for my company and I could not finalize my work. After calling 3 days in a row - it was determined that the outside line was not connected to the house, so there was nothing rental company?owners? could do, it was the fault of the internet company. I had to have internet and booked this house knowing I'd have. This was never resolved, no internet nor cable TV for entire stay. I felt as though it was not important to the rental company to fix for me. I lost an entire day of vacation in order to get internet elsewhere. I have 3 children at Flagler College and am in the area often, typically I rent a hotel room, wanted to try a home, loved it except for this issue. I returned a week later and booked a different house."

  • Awesome Beach Time

"The Salty Dog was a great beach spot for two families of two adults/two kids. The property is older but has undergone some nice renovations and was clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was well-equipped for breakfast before the beach and easy lunches. There were a few pest sightings - but that is typical in Florida. We would recommend this property to those wanting to be close to the beach. But bring your own beach towels - there were only two! And pillows - unless you prefer super flat pillows. With upgraded pillows and linens, the Salty Dog would definitely be 5 stars!"

  • Karen

"My husband and I stayed in this absolutely wonderful condo for a month. It was the most pleasurable stay I have ever had away from home. It is beautifully decorated, very beachy, but not overdone. The king and queen beds were very comfortable. I am disabled (walk with a walker) and this condo provided all the accommodations I could possibly need. First of all, there was Handicap parking right outside the door, along with a half-hour unloading spot, also right outside the door. All of the doorways were extra wide, making it easy to maneuver with the walker (would be great for wheelchair also). But the feature that impressed me the most and made my stay so much better was the walk-in shower. I was able to take my walker into the shower, and there was plenty of room for a shower chair. Besides that, the bathroom was beautifully tiled, with a garden tub, and also a huge vanity with double sinks. The beautiful beach was just a short walk (mobility scooter ride for me) across the street from the condo complex. Our preteen granddaughters loved the beach and also spent a lot of time at the pool. I especially loved the screened porch, with view of the pond and fountain. The porch furniture was so comfortable and the view was peaceful and relaxing. We tried out many restaurants in the area. O'Steens was the best for deep-fried shrimp (huge and lightly breaded). Sunset Grill was a favorite, along with Salt Life. Every Wednesday morning we enjoyed the Farmers Market just across the street. Besides the fresh produce (strawberries were some of best we had ever had), there was also arts and crafts booths. It was also just a short car ride to downtown St. Augustine and the wonderful shops and restaurants. All in all, this condo had everything we needed and then some! I would recommend this condo to just about anyone, but especially for the physically handicapped."
