  • Perfect!

"First time to Amelia Island and we fell in love! The canopied streets, old Ferrnandina town, and beautiful beaches were even more enjoyable with our stay at this vacation home. It is so nice yet so comfortable with amazing views. Thank you for sharing it with our family. This was truly one of our favorite vacations."

  • will go again!

"Very nice condo. Family stayed and all had a ball. You can see thee pool from the balcony. Bring a cart to take things to the beach, as it is a little bit of a walk, but the stairs get you to your destination, and in better shape. OR you order chairs and umbrellas delivered for you from a local vendor. Unit has umbrellas and a nice beach chair for you to use if you like. Kids toys too! Lots to do as far as sight seeing too! A great place for a family getaway! Realtor was very, very nice and gets back with you asap. We will definitely go again."

  • Great for a girlfriend getaway

"Three friends rented the house for a week, and had a very nice time there. It is well-configured for friends, multiple couples, or families. The beautiful beaches are a very short walk, as is the pool. The street is very quiet and there is limited noise from busier Amelia Island Parkway to the rear. A shaded walking/biking path is right there, and goes all the way from the Ritz-Carlton (to the north of the house) to the island's southern tip along the Parkway and A-1A. Lots of beach toys, boogie boards, etc. in the garage. If it were my house, I would also provide some new beach chairs in a mix of heights for younger and older renters. That said, the place could use a good exterior neatening up, and an interior updating and freshening up, thus my rating. If you rent here, I would highly recommend a day trip to Cumberland Island (look at the website before you commit) especially if you are a hiker, a walking tour of historic downtown Fernandina Beach, and a dinner at Espana in Fernandina, along with dinner by the water at Brett's. Bicyclists will enjoy the area as well. This was my third stay on Amelia, and my second in the Summer Beach area, which, while most communities are gated as this one is, doesn't feel as self-contained as the Plantation."

  • could have stayed forever

"the mermaid cottage was perfect! comfortable, close to the beach and all the excitement... yet quiet and relaxing. we had time every morning to walk the dogs to the beach and then visit with family, shop in town and relax on the porch, enjoy the restaurants, etc.... we truly did not want to leave. the house is also set up perfectly for pets with a fenced front yard. sunrise from the roof top balcony was BEAUTIFUL! and the beds were very comfortable. we actually made sure we had time allotted each day to stay home (at the cottage) because we loved it so much"
