  • How do you review heaven on earth?

"Old Grayton Presence is a short stroll to the beach, shops and dining in the laid back village. Accommodations were on point from arrival until we reluctantly checked out. The five of us (including two teens) were never cramped, lacking any amenity or bored in the two-bedroom, two-bath cottage whose lagniappes include front and back porches with comfy seating and swings. The outdoor shower is amazingly refreshing after a day in the sun (we used it more than the indoor showers). The cottage is on a main street, but you feel secluded in the lush greenery as the heady smell of Jasmine relaxes you into beach life. I commend the attention to detail down to the cozy interior décor and modern appliances plus exterior BBQ grill, beach cart and two bicycles that encouraged exploration of Grayton Beach State Park and the beach towns along the 30A bike path. Sunset on Grayton Beach is magical; we saw 5 stingrays, starfish, and more crabs than we could count. While there are McMansions springing up around the perimeter, I commend the community for maintaining the quaint cottages and old Florida charm. The only complaint I have about Old Grayton Presence is that I had to leave."

  • Family fun at the beach......

"My family and I stayed at Delta Dunes and the house was fantastic! It met our needs perfectly especially the wonderful secluded pool. The neighborhood was quiet and the nearby beach was family oriented. The house was well stocked and beautifully decorated. I hope an opportunity comes along where we could visit again!"

  • Fam Jam

"Our family decided to put money towards a beach house instead of giving birthday and Christmas presents to one another throughout the year. We realized as our parents get older that experiences and memories far outweigh material items that get tossed aside after a few months. Pelicans Nest and The Egg could not have been more suitable for our family. The beach was easily accessible. We rode bikes to Seaside every morning for breakfast. The pool was shaded and a great central gathering spot throughout the day and after lunch. Grayton was most enjoyable this particular time of year because the tide pools were perfect for the young ones and the lake feeds into the ocean allowing for great crabbing in the afternoons/evenings. Since we have boys who love to fish, it was a perfect spot to watch the boats come in each day with their catch. We have nothing but positive things to say about Pelicans Nest and The Egg. We made memories that will last us a lifetime and that is what Matters most."

  • great stay for a wekk

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was as described, clean, older but in good shape, we had an issue with a dirty oven that caused smoking and fire alarm to go off when used, but after a few phone calls, the oven was cleaned perfectly. The beds were so comfy, the porch is perfect, there is lots of room for everyone. The communication with the rental office was great before and after trip. Not a formal place to eat for such a big group, but we ate in "shifts". The bathrooms were clean, but could be remodeled to update. I would recommend this for a large family or group. Perfect location and to die for views of the lake and ocean. Watch for splinters on the wooden decks and porch, always wear flip flops. Quiet neighbors and short walk to beach walkway. Overall 9/10 stay!"
