  • Great for Families!

"My family of 6 just spent a week in this cottage and had a wonderful time. The cottage is comfortable and classy. I cooked most of our meals in the kitchen and really appreciated how thoroughly equipped the kitchen was for my cooking needs. The owners seem to have thought about everything... even down to a sewing kit (for an emergency fix on a kid's swimsuit) and flashlights to go on a night stroll. My kids loved the selection of board games and our entire family enjoyed having lunch on the screened in porch. We look forward to visiting again sometime!"

  • Close to Perfect

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a great condo in a wonderful location. Just a few tweaks from being perfect and not bad enough to not rate as a 5 star experience. The condo is very clean; beds are comfortable and the management company adds little touches to make your stay a breeze (soap, shampoo, lip balm, trash bags, paper towels, etc.) We used the included bikes to go to Publix and the pool. We did experience quite a bit of noise from the people staying above. Also, the kitchen supplies could be updated - only 2 wine glasses, rusty can opener and cookie sheet and peeling frying pans. It would be helpful if some instructions were included about the beach chair and umbrella set up. We were left to figure that out on our own and were embarrassed by sitting in the wrong area on the beach. These were all very minor issues and did not detract from our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful week and would definitely return. Thanks for sharing your wonderful home!"

  • We loved staying at Life is a Play on 30 A!

"This condo was perfect for my husband and me during our first visit to this area. Very conveniently located to the beautiful Gulf with free beach access, Seaside and other interesting communities and state parks. At the same time, we had privacy and quiet as the condo is set back from the road. The balcony from this second floor unit overlooks pleasant landscaping, and the two pools available on the grounds were well maintained and a great treat to use. The condo itself was bright, airy, modern, and well equipped with all that we needed. Working with the owners was also very smooth and professional and enjoyable. And the rate was certainly very reasonable, especially compared to lodging options in Seaside and other nearby towns. We would definitely like to stay at Life is a Play again in the future!"

  • Enjoyed our stay!

"This was visit 10 to Seaside since '09. Each time, I research the heck out of our house options (yes, in a spreadsheet) and look for certain qualities - location relative to shops, restaurants, pool, etc., comfortable areas to relax, proximity of the kitchen to common areas (so I'm not stuck away from the action), price, wifi, TVs, pool/fitness passes, bedroom options, responsiveness of the owner/agency, reviews, etc. This house was right up there with our favorites. We were two 50 somethings and four 20 somethings from the Northeast. There was plenty of room for everyone - sleeping, eating, hanging out, cooking, card playing, games playing. The kitchen had a direct line of sight to the table and the living room beyond that so I could still interact with people from there. It was HOT while we were there and the AC was a welcome relief each time we came back to the house. I was concerned that it would be hot for the person in the loft but he said it was cool up there, too. The master bedroom had a supplementary free standing AC unit which could seem a bit loud, but it was also provided white noise and kept the room cool. Even in the high temps the hammock on the porch was a nice place to relax. Everyone agreed that the beds were VERY comfortable. The proximity to the beach, pool, shops, restaurants, etc., worked well. It was easy for the kids to spend some time at the beach and then walk over to the pool to cool off. (The provided beach towels were convenient.) We walked over to the town center and restaurants many times to shop, eat, do happy hour, stroll through the farmer's market, etc. We eat most of our meals in, so having a good kitchen - not necessarily fancy - is a must. This kitchen was very nice as well as functional. The pots and pans, serving dishes, utensils, tools, etc., were great. They were of good quality and quantity - sometimes equipment is so cheap that you're just burning everything or struggling to chop/cut/peel. Not fun. I really liked that there was a supply of seasonings there and plastic wrap, aluminum foil, etc. We used the washer and dryer several times. The dryer was a little quirky, turning off unexpectedly sometimes, but it did its job. Dryer sheets and laundry detergent were there. We had an issue with the TV at first but the owner quickly responded to our questions. There are lots of switches in the living room/dining area and it wasn't easy to tell what went to what. Not a big deal. We'll be back!"
