  • Excellent Stay!

"We enjoyed our week at the beach in this home. We've rented many homes in several states and this is definitely one of our favorites. The owners are super pleasant to work with and were very responsive. We had one minor issue with the pool remote not working and Rick was over very quickly to resolve it. The pictures are accurate and as others have stated, the home is very well stocked - umbrellas, flashlights, starter amenities, cleaning supplies, trash bags, coffee, spices, ziplocks, saran wrap, foil, bathroom spray, hand soap...the list goes on and on. It was very nice not to have to bring/purchase these items for our trip, particularly since we brought my husband's hybrid car which doesn't hold much :). We only went to the beach 3 days of our week, but spent many hours in the pool and spa. Well worth the $ for the heat. We cooked several complete meals, including roasting hot dogs and s'mores over wood in the outdoor fireplace. Grilled out on the gas grill (nice to have option of gas or charcoal). They even had charcoal, lighters, etc.! The beds were VERY comfortable and I slept more than I had in a very long time. The walk to the beach as shown in Trudy's video is very short. We drove one day and took the awesome wagon another. A local told us "now THAT is a wagon!". Our five year old enjoyed the ride in it. We visited all of the restaurants at Gulf Place. Pizza was good and reasonably priced at Pizza by the Sea. Coffee and donuts were pretty good from the coffee house (no longer Lucille's). The bartender at the caribbean restaurant was great. The Perfect Pig...well...wasn't so perfect at least at breakfast. We won't visit it again. My favorite place was the Deep South Market. I spent a ton each day in that little shop! They have wine, sandwiches, snacks, gift items, gelato, etc. The "hit" for us was Chanticleer Eatery (not walkable). It is outstanding and reasonably priced. The pork rind nachos are out of this world (Rick - I think they beat Local Catch's - we tried theirs, too!!). Weather couldn't have been more beautiful! High 70s, low humidity, and only rained two times (overnight). The street is very private and several days we were the only ones renting around us. Felt sorry for the renters next door (different owners) who couldn't get in their home for several hours well past check-in time! It made me appreciate Rick and Trudy even more! All in all a great stay and a lovely house."

  • Home was very comfortable for 5 adults and 4 children

"The property is clean and well-equipped for an extended stay. Beach tram stops are just a few yards down the sidewalk on either side of the house and the pool is just a few blocks away. We did not want to leave and plan to stay again soon. Highly recommended."

  • Great location!

"Sunsplash is in a prime location in Seacrest. Very short walk to the beach and no real need to take the tram. Lots of beach supplies in the house - chairs, beach toys, pool noodles. House was large, clean, and comfortable. Lovely deck to watch the sunset on the third floor. We had a great time!"
