  • Paradise at Sandy Feet

"We absolutely loved this cottage! Sandy Feet was a home away from home experience. From the fully stocked kitchen, to the comfortable beds, and spacious floor plan it was perfect. We truly enjoyed our stay and are counting down the days til our next visit in summer 2017. The beach was a very short stroll down a paved sidewalk/bike trail to the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. The emerald green waters and sugary white sands were awesome and the locals were sooo nice to us. Great dining all over the place and too many sttractions to mention were within a short commute. If you are interested in a place truly vacation, this is it. The pictures don't do this home any justice. The rooms were and loft area were much larger than depicted and having a flat screen in each was a bonus on the days we hung around all day. My wife and I brought along 6 children under 17 yrs old and we never felt crowded (we had room easily for another). Santa Rosa is a quiet community away from all of the high rises and traffic associated with vacationing in Destin or Panama City, but is close enough to both to visit those areas to enjoy the waterparks and other amusements for the kiddos. All in all, I cant say enough good thing about this place and I wish I could give it 6 stars. Thanks Gary from the Roberts Family"

  • Lynn's 10

"This was our 26Th year to visit Seaside, and we found the best house yet! We found Southern Comfort, very aptly named! Our large family of 10, now 2parents and 4 younger adult couples (with babies on the way) had plenty of room for both privacy as well as for family time. The house itself was spectacularly built, with all of the finishing touches of a loved and planned home- not just a house. It was also without some of the fearful and dangerous lofts and stairwells we have seen at some homes. We can bring our grandchildren here for years to come! We had several large family meals with plenty of seating, as well as ample dishes, pots and pan, unlike most houses we have stayed in. Also loved plenty of seating in the den area, and it was nice to have the kitchen and den open so we could all visit as the meal was prepared. We also had some fun scrabble games in that large den! Another plus was having bedrooms separated on all 3 floors and for each room to have its own private full bath was very convenient. The location next to the fitness center and round pool was very handy, as was the short walk to our beloved Tupelo Pavillion. We stayed during a June heat wave, but the house was close enough to beach and pool that we were able remain comfortable I cannot recommend any house higher, and we have stayed in at least 40+ since 1989, sometimes several times a year as we tended to grow out of everywhere we stayed, with friends, then significant others. You will not be disappointed in this home, rather you will believe it to be much more beautiful than the pictures."

"Wonderful time. Loved the back porch for morning coffee and the front porch for afternoon naps and stronger liquids. The bikes provided were used everyday. We only drove the car one day in a week's time. The house is so convenient to walkable shopping and dining. Back home we have to drive everywhere. We explored the other 30a areas and Watercolor was our favorite.Thank you for a memorable vacation."

"Our family had a great time. A couple of issues- most of the pool chairs were torn as was the umbrella at the outdoor table. The indoor sectional was extremely uncomfortable. We had four families and extra kids. Plenty of room for everyone. However, my family took the "bunk" room which has two sets of bunk beds. Each with a full on bottom and twin on top. These are probably great to put a bunch of kids on, but the mattresses were horrible. Overall, the house was very good. I only nitpick these issues due to the money we spent. I think for $6K, the little things needs to be taken care of a little better. As for 30A- the secret is definitely out. We've been coming coming to the area for nearly 20 years, and it is getting too crowded. Still a great time, but it seemed twice as crowded as it did just 3-4 years ago. Scores of chair rentals take up the space right at the beach entrance, which made us set up our camp 150 yards down the beach."
