  • Fantastic home for mulitple families with kids!

"We stayed 3 nights over New Years Eve with 8 adults and 14 children (ages 2 to 15). We had more than enough space and beds for everyone to have their own private areas as well as plenty of room for community gathering space, both inside and outside. The decor and furniture in many of the rooms has been updated since these photos were taken, so when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised at the upgrades--particularly the couches and chairs in the main living room which were undoubtedly more comfortable than the wicker chairs in the photo above looked. The entire house was clean, inviting, comfortable, and well-stocked with all you could need, including hair dryers, shampoo & soap in the bathrooms, and tons of cooking appliances and dishes in the kitchen--though more storage containers with lids for leftovers would have been very helpful. The only differences we saw from the description and the actual rooms were that the two bedrooms in the carriage house both have king beds, and the two bedrooms on the 3rd floor of the main house both have queen beds. Plan for that as you're dividing up rooms! The bunk room has extra thick mattresses, and no barriers on the top bunks, so we ended up putting a mattress on the floor as a safety measure for the smaller kids that were staying in that room, rather than using the top bunks. We had the pool heated for our stay (extra fee), and once we got it working it was wonderful. The water level wasn't high enough for it to kick on the first day, but we called and they had someone take care it it right away for us, so by day 2 and 3 we were all swimming. The "spa" tub is not quite a hot tub, but did get slightly warmer than the main pool. The alarm on the pool door (required by FL law) was a good security measure since we had several small children in our group. Every bedroom had a flat-screen television and cable, which the children LOVED. We would have loved to also have a stereo system, or music stations on the cable channels as an option too (maybe next time!). The beach is just across the street (a very short walk), and the house is super convenient to Publix for quick grocery runs. I had a VERY good experience working with Royal Destinations and was impressed with their professionalism, helpfulness, and accommodating attitude. We asked for a late checkout on Sunday, since the house wasn't reserved for the following day, and were able to enjoy a few extra hours and not have to pack up the night bef"

  • Excellent getaway!

"We were visiting the area for a wedding and we had an excellent stay at the Sunburns' Bungalow! Short walk to the beach and an excellent location right on 30A. We would love to return again!"

  • Great location

"First time to visit that area of the gulf. The view of the beach was great. There is a very short walk to the beach. The grandkids enjoyed being able to bike to various places. The kitchen was well equipped and the condo had everything we needed. The owner was great to work with and I would recommend this unit to anyone. We hope to stay there again next summer."

  • I would definately recommend this condo!

"We had a great stay here! I would highly recommend this property. I pay attention to detail and I can tell the owners do as well! The sheets and towels were very nice. I even caught myself seeing which brand the sheets were so I could order them for myself. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. I felt like the condo was decorated very well (beachy, but not over the top)! The pool was very nice and very clean. There are not any high rise condos close to this property, which helped with the beach not being too crowded. Access was super close to the beach. I appreciated the luggage carts to unload and load with. The washer and dryer is in the kids bunk room. It wasn't a problem for us, but something to consider. The only downside to this area is the drive to Destin. The nearest Walmart is about 15 miles away. There is a Publix pretty close but they are $$$. Driving to Destin for dinner takes about an hour with traffic. Café 30 A is a great place to eat in Santa Rosa, but you have to make reservations a couple of days in advance. Louisiana Lagniappe is definitely worth the drive to Destin!!! Overall I would recommend this property and I would definitely stay here again!"
