  • Beautiful cottage, great location!

"The cottage was impeccably decorated, every inch of space used so well, big closets, plenty of storage in the kitchen, a second fridge/freezer, easy to use electronics, close to the beach access & a very short bike ride (or walk) to Seaside. Publix was just a minute away. Lots of restaurants close by. It was perfect!"

  • Terrific week on 30A

"Our house was in a great location in Santa Rosa Beach, an easy walk to several places to eat and just a short walk to the beach. We had a blast. We had four bedrooms and four porches, including one screened-in porch off the living room that was a great place to hang out. The house was quite modern and looked to be no more than a year old. Route 30A greeted us with incredible weather all week. Our rental manager was accessible and worked hard to get a couple of minor house things corrected quickly. The week escaped much too fast and while it's always good to be back in your own bed, we all will miss our visit to Gathering Thyme, the name affixed to our home away from home for a week. Some notes: ** Walking to the beach and taking the most direct route will leave you with a three-flight walk down to the sand and a three-flight walk back up when you leave. You can either drive down a few blocks to the west to a public access that includes a ramp, OR you can rent a beach setup that someone else will put up for you (screwing in a beach umbrella isn't as easy as it sounds!). ** There are food trucks 2 miles to the west in Seaside. We went twice. ** The Donut Hut is a popular breakfast place. We went 3-4 times. ** If you don't rent bikes and beach gear ahead of time, there are PLENTY of places to do so when you arrive. If you have little ones, get a wagon! ** A community pool is three houses away and gets very little use. If you like hanging out by the pool, it's perfect."
