  • Perfect for us!

"Just what we were looking for. For 2 people, near the beach and close to Seaside, without the higher Seaside prices, updated & modern with 2 bikes included. We enjoyed the small neighborhood of beachy cottages. We could easily bike to the beach and walk or bike to Seaside. There's a flat bike trail and the 2 towns are seamless. Closest walkable restaurants are Cowgirl Kitchen and Whiskey Bravo. Although you are close to the main house with permanent residents, you don't really see them and it's very quiet. The main living/kitchen area is spacious with new furnishings. The bathroom is nice with a large glass shower. The sink is a small vessel, so I had to set up in the bedroom for makeup/hair, etc.. and the overhead light/fan was out, so it was dim to get ready, but other than that, it's great!"

  • Amazing Beach front property

"We really loved our stay at Step Back in Time for a family getaway. Don't let the pictures fool you into thinking the interior is old, it clearly has been redone in a 70's retro style which really fits the property. The bedding and pillows were very comfortable. No allergy issues in an allergy prone family. We loved the large open family space on one level that fostered togetherness yet each bedroom was very private. Hearing the waves from the master bedroom allowed for much needed good night sleeping. The sunporch was amazing to be in out of the wind at a comfortable temperature and still listen to the waves and watch the sunsets. The private beach access is incredible with a wash station and benches for changing shoes. Also, I loved the outdoor showers outside of every bathroom (there are 3) which made clean-up after a great day at the beach so easy. I also think it's location can't be beat. The walk to downtown Seaside is easy, but it is far enough away to not be in the heart of the hustle and bustle. If you are on the fence about this property, do yourself a favor and just book it. As a side note, beach chairs 4 u was not open in the off season (Jan/Feb), we used Bonfires and were really pleased with their service."

  • Best spot in the panhandle

"This was my second trip to Seagrove this year. Stress and constant election news just made me need somewhere calm and relaxed and I knew Phil had just the place. I love this house. I have now stayed in two different units. This time I was in the upper unit. It meant more steps but the view was worth the climb. The spindles in the railing have been replaced with glass so you have a perfect, unimpeded view of the sand and surf. This beach is never busy. There are lots of very expensive houses around and no tall high-rise buildings to generate a big noisy crowd. The rental price is fantastic for a unit right on the beach! The unit is really, really large and well-laid out for vacationers. Phil is the very best owner I have ever worked with. I appreciate him more and more each time I rent from him and Gary at the rental office is also great. I am already thinking about which week next May I want to come back--if I can wait that long! Thanks so much, Phil and Gary!"
