"Great location on the house. We love WaterColor!! This house is comfortable but is in desperate need of being restocked. Lots of kitchen items missing for a house it's size. The coffee mugs and wine glasses are terrible too. Expect more for the price. Beds are comfy. No dressers in bedrooms which is odd not to have anywhere to unpack for a week."

  • relaxing getaway for 2

"The carriage house was a wonderful relaxing place to stay. The house was clean and beautifully designed. The upper deck looked out onto a national forest while the smell of sweet honeysuckle filled the air. It was very quiet and calming both in the morning and evenings. Below deck was a fire pit, lounge seating and a large grill which we made sure to use. There were bikes to use on property which afforded us the ability to not have to get in the car once we arrived. We had easy access to both the beach club and the frog pool- both were great. I've stayed at Watercolor before with larger groups and really liked the location of this property the best as it's tucked away and you can't see neighbors on all sides. Definitely worth a return trip!"

"We had a great time! Only suggestion would be to leave a light on at house for us to find. It was dark when we arrived. Enjoyed everything else."

"We loved the house and the location so very much. The porches were gorgeous and we spent most of our time hanging out on on the porch while our kids played in the park and rode bikes. Our only complaint is the kitchen. There were not a lot of dishes to accommodate a crowd. There was only one large mixing bowl and only one dish towel. We had to go buy more dish towels and another pot holder. Also, the dishwasher never worked. The tray holding the detergent wouldn't pop open so we had to wash every dish by hand. That was a little hard when you had 12 people staying for a week and prepping for Thanksgiving dinner. The oven also cooked very slowly at times and very fast at others. It was extremely uneven and hard to prepare food. The bedrooms were lovely and everything about the house made it one of our favorites of all the places we have stayed along 30A, but the dishwasher really needs to be fixed, the oven might need to be looked at and perhaps a few more amenities for the kitchen need to be purchased."
