  • Needs work

"There were pros and cons with this condo.. Pros: The condo was very roomy and decorated nicely. The owner, Mrs Sylvia, was very nice to work with. Cons: The security code never punched in for us. We had to call owner then go get a key from security at the check in booth. Security isn't there 24/7 like it states in the description. The drains in both bathrooms won't drain fast enough to take a shower. You have to stand in a tub of water while taking a shower. Rugs in the bathrooms are very dirty. Carpets in both bedrooms are stained and filthy. Your feet get black walking around barefooted. It won't get any cooler than 73 degrees in the condo no matter what temp you set it to. That was very uncomfortable for my child who has asthma. It wasn't cool at night gir us. The master bedroom is very hot. Patio door leading out to the deck from the master bedroom won't lock. . I wish I'd known these things b4 I got there. I usually don't write reviews on properties but this condo needs some maintence work bad!!"

  • Excellent vacation home

"We stayed at Island Blue for Spring Break. There were 3 families that stayed here for a total of 12 people. We were all nicely accommodated. We stayed last year across the street and fell in love with the neighborhood. This house had everything you needed. The ice machine is an extra nice thing that we weren't expecting. The beach is about a 5 minute walk or you can take the tram if you wanted. The kids lived in the heated pool when we were not at the beach. All the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was spacious as the house we were in last year was a little tight when more than 2 people were trying to cook. The parking is a little tricky but we made it work with 3 vehicles - a Yukon XL, 4Runner, and a sedan. I was able to park my Yukon XL in one side of the garage and the 4 runner in the other and the sedan in the driveway. The location is so close to everything but yet very secluded and quiet. There are a lot of stairs so if you are not able to climb stairs you may want to rethink staying here. But there is a room off the main level with a King bed and bathroom that you could stay in and only have to go up the one flight of the stairs. All other bedrooms are upstairs. But I think that is with most homes in Destin Pointe. Steve and Rhonda were excellent to work with and they want to make sure that you enjoy your vacation. The worst thing was having to leave! We look forward to coming back next year."

  • Spring Break

"I booked this condo for spring break with my mom and two daughters. I really enjoyed the condo. It was very well stocked. The pool wasn't warm yet but it was early in the season. We enjoyed walking to the beach everyday rather then going to the bay beach. The condo was very close to everything which made life easy. We took the water taxi only one night. It was fun but pricey. The sunsets and rises were amazing from this condo. We really enjoyed our stay."
