  • Lovely Unit

"I gave this a 4 star rather than 5 only due to the shortcomings of the Islander Building not the unit itself or unit owner. The unit and owner were wonderful. Easy to communicate with and the unit was as promised. The unit is well decorated and was pretty clean upon arrival (I did find some paper left on the floor of the bedroom containing the twin beds however). The outside area/common area needed attention and that is a management issue. Cigarette butts were strewn about, walkways were dirty, the property was very loud late into the night. The staff however was friendly and helpful when contacted (except no one returned a phone call I placed asking a question during our stay). The property is in a nice area and conveniently located to shops, attractions and restaurants. The beach and pool are short walks thru the grounds. It's a shame the management doesn't spruce up/clean up the outside and manage the night noise level."

  • LOVED IT!!

"I absolutely LOVED this town home. My family (four adults, one 15-year old boy, one 10-year old girl) and I arrived after a very arduous 14-hour drive and were exhausted. It was so comfortable, and spacious, and spotless. And the location was just fabulous! The Pancakery and the Mellow Mushroom Pizza place (along with Sunsations, where you can buy almost anything Destin!) were literally right around the corner! The location of this place is just perfect! The pool really is that close to the back patio. There were tons of beach toys in the outside closet. For those of you that worry about water pressure in your showers? Don't! Fabulous showers! It's a short walk to the beach. And the beach, in my opinion, is so breathtakingly beautiful. The sands really are sugar white, and cool on your feet, which was a new experience for me! And you will not find a better owner to deal with than Judy Parsons. She was so helpful, and so kind throughout this entire process. I highly recommend this town home AND these owners!!"

  • Love this place!

"This was the 2nd year in a row that my friends and I stayed at this beautiful home. We had a great Labor Day weekend. It is very spacious and roomy! The deck on the back is fabulous to watch the sun come up in the mornings and the boaters ride by in the canal in the afternoons. Mrs. Sally responded to my texts and phone calls in a promptly manner. It is everything we needed for a weekend/holiday getaway!"

  • Excellent vacation home

"We stayed at Island Blue for Spring Break. There were 3 families that stayed here for a total of 12 people. We were all nicely accommodated. We stayed last year across the street and fell in love with the neighborhood. This house had everything you needed. The ice machine is an extra nice thing that we weren't expecting. The beach is about a 5 minute walk or you can take the tram if you wanted. The kids lived in the heated pool when we were not at the beach. All the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was spacious as the house we were in last year was a little tight when more than 2 people were trying to cook. The parking is a little tricky but we made it work with 3 vehicles - a Yukon XL, 4Runner, and a sedan. I was able to park my Yukon XL in one side of the garage and the 4 runner in the other and the sedan in the driveway. The location is so close to everything but yet very secluded and quiet. There are a lot of stairs so if you are not able to climb stairs you may want to rethink staying here. But there is a room off the main level with a King bed and bathroom that you could stay in and only have to go up the one flight of the stairs. All other bedrooms are upstairs. But I think that is with most homes in Destin Pointe. Steve and Rhonda were excellent to work with and they want to make sure that you enjoy your vacation. The worst thing was having to leave! We look forward to coming back next year."
