  • Great place to vacation

"We had an amazing time. This is the third year in a row to stay at Sandpiper Cove. This time we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary so we stayed beachside. Loved every minute of it. Everything is very clean and well kept. I like the "gated community" five swimming pools, the restaurant on site, amazing beach and the fact it is close to everything from dining to shopping. We hope to go back soon!"

  • Excellent vacation home

"We stayed at Island Blue for Spring Break. There were 3 families that stayed here for a total of 12 people. We were all nicely accommodated. We stayed last year across the street and fell in love with the neighborhood. This house had everything you needed. The ice machine is an extra nice thing that we weren't expecting. The beach is about a 5 minute walk or you can take the tram if you wanted. The kids lived in the heated pool when we were not at the beach. All the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was spacious as the house we were in last year was a little tight when more than 2 people were trying to cook. The parking is a little tricky but we made it work with 3 vehicles - a Yukon XL, 4Runner, and a sedan. I was able to park my Yukon XL in one side of the garage and the 4 runner in the other and the sedan in the driveway. The location is so close to everything but yet very secluded and quiet. There are a lot of stairs so if you are not able to climb stairs you may want to rethink staying here. But there is a room off the main level with a King bed and bathroom that you could stay in and only have to go up the one flight of the stairs. All other bedrooms are upstairs. But I think that is with most homes in Destin Pointe. Steve and Rhonda were excellent to work with and they want to make sure that you enjoy your vacation. The worst thing was having to leave! We look forward to coming back next year."

  • Beach vacation condo with class and amenities

"This condo is more beautiful than the photos indicate. It is far nicer than the unit in this same complex where we stayed last year. Bring your beach towels, toiletries, condiments and a couple of extra laundry and dishwashing detergent packs if you are frequent appliance users. Otherwise everything you need for a great time at the beach is here including all the beach toys mentioned by other reviewers. Since we stayed at Shoreline Towers last year, we were not surprised by the terrific location, balcony time with Gulf views and sounds of the surf and being only steps from the beach, but those things brought us back. As stated, this unit is as classy as you'll find, so if you appreciate the details, you will love this unit. The only thing not first rate is the plastic furniture on the balcony, but the owner says he is looking for better solutions that will still stand up to the salt air outside. Even so, there is a table with four chairs on the balcony that allow al fresco dining, cocktails, and, most importantly, morning coffee watching and listening to the surf. A great place we will always try to return to when we are able to visit Destin."
