"Excellent experience!!!! Condo was beautiful in perfect location on second floor. All of the pools, splash pads, and hot tubs were an asset to staying here. My kids were able to walk right off condo patio and directly into the lazy river, which they absolutely loved. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back."

  • Nice views. Nice place. Nice time.

"Overall we enjoyed our time in this unit. We have stayed several times in FWB and this condo had some of the most unique views we have seen. It was very windy, so using the roof top deck was very limited. The U shape of the buildings around the pools, blocked the wind and made the pool use very enjoyable. Beds in the condo were comfortable, but sheets were scratchy. Glad we took our own blankets and beach towels as there were none provided. We packed our own food and cooked frequently. Great kitchen layout for cooking. Grill is in a common area located down by pool not at unit. Grill tools were provided in the unit which was nice. Kitchen sink needs repair. It does not provide hot water and the nozzle pull out feature is broken. No liquid dish soap, dish scrubber or surface cleaners provided...which we thought was odd. Eating utensils desperately need updating. Many are broken. No laundry soap. Bring your own if you intend to use the washing machine. Wifi internet went out on us the last full day. We called Destin West management and they instructed us to call Cox internet provider ourselves. Found that strange, but we did. They sent a firmware upgrade to the unit. Helped somewhat, but it still kept going in and out. If u will really need consistent wifi, you may make sure the router has been replaced before you book. We did love the crushed ice that the fridge provided. Shower curtain in the master bath needs replacing...it falls down when being opened or closed. Lots of fun pools to use and views to see."

  • Wonderful, relaxing vacation

"We really enjoyed staying at this condo! It's a 2 bedroom, 2 bath with a great view (from the large deck) of the ocean, golf course, and lake. All of the bathrooms and kitchen have been updated and it was very clean. There are 2 kinds of coffee makers (regular and Keurig style). The owner, Phil Cole, was great to work with. To be honest, I was a little hesitant about sending him a check directly as I usually use a credit card when booking through VRBO. But we did some research and found out he is indeed the owner through the Walton County, Florida property tax records. So this ended up being a non-issue. Phil emailed us as soon as the check was received. He let us bring our dog for no additional fee and he made sure we had an extra parking pass available at check-in for our extra car. There are 5 swimming pools in Seascape as well as tennis courts, bike rentals, and a quick walk to the beach. If you don't want to walk, or drive to the private parking area directly across from the beach, there is also a Seascape bus that will pick you up for free and drive you over to the beach and all around the property. Close by, there are tons of restaurants and the outlet mall is just a few miles away. There's plenty to do in the area. If I had to criticize anything, I wish the master bed was a little softer as I am used to a pillowtop mattress, but it was fine."

  • Perfect Beach Cottage

"What a lovely home in such a beautiful little community! The house was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for our family of six (4 adults, 2 children). The layout worked perfectly for our family. There is a bedroom with a king bed and a bedroom with a trundle bed downstairs so that the adults can sleep on the same floor as the kids, and a master suite with two queen beds for another adult couple(s) upstairs (we were with my in-laws and they were able to have their privacy upstairs while we stayed downstairs and shared a bath with the kids). All of the bedrooms have televisions, which made it easy for the kids to watch what they wanted while the adults could talk in the living room. Wifi was very good. The home offered lots of nice extras for us to enjoy during our stay, such as beach towels, beach toys, games, books, and magazines. The home is adorably decorated and feels, well, like home (it doesn't feel like a bare bones rental property). It is prettier than the online pictures. The houses are close together, but the serene little garden surrounding this home made it feel very private. I loved all of the windows and porches. There are so many places to sit and relax that it was hard to choose which one I wanted to use for reading or just hanging out. The neighborhood is beautiful and really feels like a little community. I adore the picket fences and the pastel homes. It was an easy walk to the beach, though we generally drove because we had a lot of chairs and beach toys, and one of our party has a weak knee. There is not a lot of parking at the public beach area closest to the home, but there is a lot of parking just a bit farther down where the Crab Trap is. There are a lot of restaurants, shops, and activities nearby. Right down the street and across 98 is Destin Commons, which has great shopping, a movie theater, and the most amazing Whole Foods I have ever seen in my life. I could have picked up dinner there every night- the food choices and pre-prepared meals are outstanding. We ate out several times, but the restaurants were always crowded (Labor Day weekend), and if I could do it again, I would just go to Whole Foods for every meal. The homeowner was also great to work with. At the possible threat of a hurricane prior to our trip, she provided us with updated weather info and was willing to work us should a hurricane make our trip impossible (it didn't, thank goodness). Highly recommended!"
