"This was our first time to the Destin Area and we were not disappointed. This particular home met our needs well and the beaches are beautiful and clean.
The home is tastefully decorated and well stocked. However, there are definite signs of being "well used." This shouldn't deter you from renting but I thought should be mentioned. Upon arrival we noticed several items, only one of which we brought to the managements attention. Light bulbs were burnt out, a recent drywall patch job was incomplete, lampshade missing, garbage can broken, spots/stains on items.
Also, we could not find any beach items which we thought was strange. All of the home I have ever rented provided sand toys, wagon/cart for items, etc. We ended up buying two chairs at Publix for $20 vs. paying $32/day for the chair service and left them for another guest.
Lastly, I was disappointed that such a nice home with courteous management would not have a Welcome Binder providing kind notes such as restaurant recommendations, area attractions and, simply, what night is trash night. It was a long list of DO NOT rules and sales information for the community.
Overall, this is a very nice home in a very nice community with a very nice beach. Just needs some attention to the things that make renters feel good about being there and wanting to come back again and again."
