"Arrived on Saturday and were able to get in early, which was a help that day. Had 4 family members and an infant coming to check in early. The house was as advertised. Clean, appointed well and laid out well for a larger group. Only had 7 total and had plenty of room. The carriage house was perfect for the daughter, husband and infant baby. Gave them the privacy that they wanted and no crying baby in the middle of the night for the rest of the group. All bedrooms had TV's, nice furniture and the bathrooms were very nice. The deck is extremely large and worked great as we had 6 more people over that first night to watch the Tennessee/Virginia Tech game. For some reason the pool was set on SPA setting and the water was 103 degrees. It took a couple of days getting that down to a livable 88 degrees for dips when you take a break from the beach. No big deal. It is right sized and a nice break in the afternoon as it is shaded after about 3pm. There were 4 chaise loungers for laying out and one 4 top table with umbrella, also a 6 top table, still had plenty of room with that much furniture. The deck floor will need some updates and the deck furniture upgrded soon soon, but it worked fine for us. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything that you would need, plus an ice marker which was very nice for the group in filling coolers and making cocktails. Location is very central to shopping and 10-15 minutes from "downtown" Destin.
We have rented homes on the beach in Hilton Head, Fripp Island and now Destin and this was just as nice or nicer than those locations. I really liked the check in which is seamless and so easy. Honestly, from booking the house, receiving the information, paying the deposit and balance, and checking out, i did not talk to a single person. Completely seamless again. Not that I do not like to talk to people, just was so easy. I would definitly recommend this house for large groups, families, etc... Just loved the entire experience."
