  • Great location

"I was a part of a family of four who stayed here for 5 days. We were able to enter the unit at 4PM just as the cleaning crew was leaving. All-in-all, I would give this property favorable reviews, with a few areas of opportunity depending on what you were looking for. Positives: > Location. No more than a 5 minute walk to the beach via sidewalk and pedestrian tunnel. If you do decide to drive to Hwy 98 where more dining and attractions are, you can utilize Google Maps to avoid a great deal of beach and tourist traffic. The Crab Trap (restaurant) is an easy walk, Capt. Dave's is a bit longer. If you have bikes, you can get to the Surf Hut and other dining options easily. > Layout. Living area and deck are very roomy. 23B is a downstairs unit so no steps, however there is a unit above you, so expect to hear footsteps (at the minimum). > Deck. Two ceiling fans really move the air; no worries about being hot in the morning/evening and if you have a spray bottle, staying cool in the middle of the day isn't an issue. > A/C and appliances: All as advertised. The A/C worked great which can be an issue at Florida properties. Ceiling fans also help move the air. Plenty of hot water. Things to know: > The unit has cable, but it is BASIC cable. No sports, no History/Discovery/Disney channels. Essentially broadcast channels and TBS. Not a big issue for us, but plan on watching the big game elsewhere and be prepared to keep kids entertained in other ways. > Wireless internet works, but only pushes 5MB down and 1MB up, so streaming video could be a challenge. If you have a lot of users on the router at once, speed really slows down. > All-in-all, the unit was clean, however there was sand in the hide-a-bed and the sheets in the smaller bedroom were clean but stained. We did see two small roaches during our stay. It is Florida and bugs can be an issue, but this was the first time I've experienced this. > We never received a parting permit unlike other vacationers. We didn't get towed, but don't park in front of Unit 24. The owners of unit 24 had a conversation with the folks in 23A about parking in front of their unit. > As I mentioned before, there is a unit directly above you. You will hear footsteps. If this is going to be an issue, look at unit 23A (the upstairs one)."

  • Peace and Tranquility

"The views at this Villa are resplendent ! When you awaken in the morning you can enjoy your coffee on the porch and watch the coast start the day. My first morning I could see dolphins swimming across as the sun was rising. The furnishings are extremely nice and comfortable ! Plenty of towels and this wonderful Neroli soap for bathing and showering. It is very well-maintained and clean. There is a sidewalk that you can walk to restaurants and retail or walk across to the the beach and enjoy your day. There are chairs available for rent. The Crab Trap restaurant is right across the street too. This is a premium location and Villa . I will definitely visit again!"

  • Destiny Villa

"We found the unit has a wonderful location with unobstructed views of the gulf and the lake in the back. Actually the best views (we had the upstairs unit) in the area. The unit had adequate furniture. Would recommend to friends. The owner was very personable and available. He was very helpful.e"
