Marquis 60th wedding anniversary trip
The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
My grandparents and their 3 kids & spouses, and one grandchild with family all stayed in this house to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. We could not have asked for a better place to celebrate. Everything was so nice and we were so comfortable all week."

This was our first multi-family vacation. This home had plenty of room for 5 adults and 7 children. This home is less than a block from the beach. The private pavilion was an excellent addition to our stay. The house had plenty of games for the kids to play and beach floats, noodles, shovels, and wagons. Everyone in the home took advantage of the 2nd floor balcony hammock.
On our first night, the A/C would not work. We called the front office and she said she would send someone around. No one came to check or fix the A/C unit. We called back numerous times that night because the heat on the first floor was unbearable. The next morning, we had to call the management again and around 12 noon an A/C maintenance man arrived and fixed the air. The first night was quite uncomfortable.
The water pressure in the home is very low. We had to run the dishwasher numerous times on one load. We had to run the dryer 5 times to dry one set of towels. Also, we had planned to grill on vacation because patio grill was listed as an amenity but in order to use the grill you have to pay an extra 35.00 for someone to come clean it when you leave.
By far our families number 1 complaint/con, is that our last night together as a family we were not able to go out to dinner or do any other activity because we had to meet the "CLEANING" mandates that were set for us. We spent all of Friday evening trying sweep all floors, wash all towels, put the trash out, wash and put up all dishes. It was a lot of stress for us on the last night of our vacation to make sure we were not charged an extra $100 dollars an hour. For the price that we paid to stay for a week, you would think that a "cleaning" service would be provided. "Cleaning" is also listed as an amenity but be prepared to spend your last night meeting all the requirements for check out. This was by far the worst part of our stay.
Overall, we had a wonderful time in Destin and this house met most of our needs. We probably will not book this home again. We will be looking for homes that provide a full cleaning service. You live and you learn."

Best Rental in Destiny by the Sea! Truly Paradise! This will be our future rental!
"We have stayed at Destiny by the Sea since 2010. This is by far the very best home we have rented! You will not be disappointed! The pictures don't begin to describe this luxury home. From opening the front door all the way to the third floor you will be so happy you chose this home. A/C units, refrigerator, microwave, sink on each floor. Bathrooms for each bedroom. Two laundry rooms. Balconies on 2nd and 3rd floors. A fully equipped kitchen with 2 ovens, 6 burner stove, sub-zero refrigerator, ice maker, dishwasher, and counter space galore! Wifi worked great. When you sit on 2nd floor balcony it is truly paradise. You can see the water but mostly you can hear the waves lapping the beach. It is heaven on earth. We rented the limo golf cart and rode all around the property. The grandchildren loved it! It was well worth the money spent! But walk to the beach access is easy and not far. You really do not need the golf cart but it sure was fun to have. Rent umbrella and chairs for the week and you are set! After a long day at the beach you can refresh in your own private swimming pool. We had 4 generations - myself and my husband, my mom and dad, my three daughters and their other halves, and four grandchildren ages 11, 9, 2, and 2 months. Everyone had plenty of space to spread out. The Master Suite is huge and you will be surprised with the sitting area as it is inside the master but a whole room in itself! it also has a wrap around porch. I just can't say enough good about this house. Dealing with Alicia was great as she was there to answer any questions, etc even late. It was nice knowing she was taking care to make sure we were comfortable and happy. To finalize we have stayed in some beautiful homes in Destiny by the Sea but each year have had some issues - one said private pool but in reality it was so small it could have been a wading pool, one year we had roaches all over the house, last year the freezer was out and the air was climate controlled and not working properly and calls to the owner went unanswered until our drive home - you can't always trust pictures and descriptions. You must ask questions because you are paying a lot for a nice vacation. We had rented another prop this year - deposit was placed in 2015. Home sold and about a month prior to our dates we were notified that the owner wanted the property for our week. We happened upon this home and it way exceeded our expectations!! TRULY PARADISE!"

"Unit was very clean and spacious. Had all the items needed in the kitchen and was well furnished. Especially liked that the bunk beds were in a room by itself instead of part of the hallway. Has an awesome pool area with grills on the grounds too. Pretty easy to get in and out of the complex with a great location. We've stayed at several places on Miramar Beach. My only complaint was the beach access. It's not very convenient. If you have kids and lots of beach stuff, invest in a wagon. I think it's a great place for families. If you spend more time at the pool than the beach, it's perfect. We tend to like the beach more, so it was an adventure toting everything there every day. I would recommend the unit though. Good value."
