  • Great house and area

"We had a great week and loved this house. It was our second trip to Destin and the Crystal Beach area is wonderful. It also was our second experience with Sugar Palm Rentals and we have been very pleased. I can't say enough about this house, tastefully decorated, great location, clean, and well stocked. We had 8 adults and 10 children from ages 16-7 yrs old. The four king suites for each couple was amazing and a must! The boys took the 3rd floor suite and the girls took the 2nd floor Queen suite, it was absolutely perfect. The kids had their space and we had ours. We walked everyday the short walk to the beach, which are absolutely beautiful. We also walked to local attractions like Camilles and the Crab Trap. The proximity of the grocery store, mall, and drugs stores were just a couple minutes drive away. Overall it was an amazing stay for a very large group. The area is so quiet and quaint and the reason we returned for a second year. The only drawbacks seemed to be that the wifi was disappointing and difficult to log into and we had several light bulbs burnt out over the kitchen and the ice maker never seemed to work the entire week. We didn't bother to call in the complaints to the rental company because we felt they were somewhat minor but if we returned we would expect them to be better next time. Like I said the property, location, and experience was fantastic. The small issues can be worked out. We are already planning for our Destin trip next October."

  • Relaxation headquarters

"The proximity to ample shopping, dining and beaches make this property an ideal HQ for an extended family vacation. We had three generations of family in and out for four days with plenty of room for everyone to get together or explore their own thing. The room layout offered us the ability to put the kids together where they could play, adult couples had quiet places to retreat for naps while still others had plenty of room to prepare meals and congregate. The pool is perfect for cooling off within close proximity of a screened porch where mom and dad can relax while keeping an eye. The guest house was a great solution for grandma and grandpa who wanted to keep a different schedule than their kids and grandkids. They had everything they needed, including peace and quiet, and no need to climb stairs."

  • Wonderful Thanksgiving week 2016

"This home was perfect for our family of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids). The weather this week could not have been better (60's -70's). The beach is a short walk away. The air and water at the beach was a little cool, but the kids still went in and played for hours in the soft sand. The home itself was perfect for us and the kids loved sleeping in the bunk beds. All the bedrooms had their own baths and they were great. We especially enjoyed the heated pool. There were plenty of pool toys for the kids to play with. It felt good to come back from the beach and jump into a warm pool. We only used the new grill one time, but the nearby restaurants were great for seafood. Even though the kitchen was adequately supplied, we ate out a lot. We even bought the entire Thanksgiving dinner already prepared from the local Public's grocery store and heated up at the house and had leftovers the next day. We had a great week."

  • Couldn't ask for better

"We used to stay in the Sandestin area, but we don't plan on returning--EVER--because we like it hear so well. We've stayed here three times and plan to stay again. Don't let the fact that this isn't "right on the beach" dissuade you. I have two kids under 5, and we never had problems with them (a) with their safety crossing the street as it's a pedestrian-friendly street (b) walking by themselves as the distance to the beach is so short. We love that the condo is stocked with everything that we need and that it's an end unit (though we never heard anything from the other side). It's always clean and my kids loves the bunk beds. This location is one of the best in Destin, as it's close to so many restaurants (our favorite is Louisiana Lagniappe) and even the outlet stores. Driving through Destin can take a while, depending on time of day and time of year, but staying in this location cuts down on time considerably. We also love to walk around the neighborhood during/after naps and look at the cute houses, and there's even a little park nearby. Hands down this is the best value and best location."
