  • I didn't think this existed anymore, but it does!

"This was my first time at Soul Happy. I had been looking for close to a year to try and find something that was old Florida, the old Florida i remembered as a child. My family lived in Pensacola in the 60's, dad was in the Navy. My experience when looking, was Condo's and Resorts with thousands of tourist. I did not want that. Soul Happy, turned out to be exactly what i was looking for and it was "big" dog friendly, hard to find in Florida! Me and my Luigi really enjoyed our stay. It still holds the old 50's cabinets, ect. The fenced in yard was an extra bonus! The deck with the swing was ideal for just my pooch and i to enjoy quite and private outside time. Great place to eat breakfast in the morning. Luigi took a bit to except the waves crashing on the shoreline, but once he got use to it, he loved it!! There are crabs in the evening that Luigi loved to chase, the funny part is, a small crabbed scared him so bad he jumped back so far. I got the best laugh!! He left those crabs alone after that! Luigi weighs 77 lbs and that small crab got the best of him. For myself, the quite, no stress time was so needed. The sunsets and sunrises were amazing! The people i met on the beach, those with and those without dogs, were so friendly. They were like long time friends. I could go on and on, but i think that's enough. One more thing, the shower in this house is great. Just the right amount of water pressure! I slept out on the sleeping porch and that bed is so comfortable! It was hard to leave. I will be back!"

  • Wonderful family vacation at a quality vacation house

"We had a wonderful time staying at The Heavenly Sunrise. The house had everything as described in the advertisement. It was pleasant to work with Sharon and have confidence in booking a quality vacation property. Even with the weather that impacts the Gulf, this property was well maintained. By booking this property using VRBO, we were able to work with a person that cares about other people and not just a large management company seeking profits. The house was within walking distance to the beach, even for our parents and children. For our family, it was good to disconnect from some of the electronic devices we are tied to. Alligator Point is a natural beach that hasn't been built up for tourists, but it allows guests to enjoy the creation of our Creator. There are a few smaller activities available nearby, but the walks on the white sandy beaches are very memorable. We also enjoyed eating BBQ at Hamaknockers in Crawfordsville. One evening, we happened to meet another couple on the beach and they said it was like having our own private beach!"

  • Idyllic respite from reality!

"We had an amazing 3 nights at this lovely home. Please, please if you are visiting FSU and you want to experience a beach get away, head 45 min south to this property on a secret called Alligator Point. The bay is calm, the mullet fishermen are local treasures and the views from this home are stunning. Nothing is lacking, and the layout is perfect for sunrise, sunset and everything In between. The owners must be interested in food as their gas stove and oven attest and the grill was ready for our steaks. We had contacts for fresh shrimp, the house has bikes, a kayak and chairs for the beach. We shopped for staples at the Publix in Tallahassee and did not leave for two of the three nights. It was too comfortable! But, 40 minutes away in apalachacola we found boss oysters, st George island and adventures worth revisiting. A wonderful visit and highly recommended! Thanks Arnold family!"

  • Very clean, spacious and comfortable home

"We were 2 families of 4 and fit comfortably. Loved the open floorplan and covered deck. Open deck at night allowed for great star gazing. A/C was plenty strong. There is special storage room for beach umbrellas, chairs, and toys. Overall house is well designed and maintained. Highly recommended."
