  • Great House with lots of Extras

"Tropical Breeze is a wonderful house right on the beach and is fully equipped with everything in the Kitchen along with lots of beach chairs and extras under their home on their patio. They even have an outdoor ping pong table. We especially enjoyed having an elevator in this home. Definitely will book this house again."

  • Comfortable stay

"The house was clean and comfortable and had just about everything you need. Loved the sheets. The kitchen had enough utensils for my cooking needs and I was able to park my Jeep under the house which was great since I had the top off. The stairs in the house were a little narrow and steep. The walk to the beach was short but the board walk didn't go all the way across the dunes which was a problem for my dogs. The dunes had these burr/sticker/cactus like things that stuck in their paws and in their coat (long hair). When you try to pull them out it's like needles sticking in your fingers. If your dogs are small enough to tote no problem, my aren't. I tried the public beach access entrance and they were there too so I ended up parking by one of the driving access areas and walking in from there. The access was less than an 1/2 mile from the house. The beach was pretty much deserted which is just the way I like it. The back deck had a screened area and an open area which was nice at night to look at the stars and WOW. Walk to the end of the board walk or all the way to the beach at night. The night sky is incredible. I haven't seen the Milky Way in a long time. As for the area, it's not commercialized with restaurants and shops on every corner. Make sure you stop at the grocery store in Port Saint Joe for food and other supplies before you get here. Its a few miles back to a big store. There is a small store a few miles up on Cape San Blas that has the basics. There were signs for horse rides, kayak rentals and other outdoor activities but all I did was walk the dogs on the beach and sit on the porch reading. I did eat at The Smoke House (I think that was the name) one night which was pretty good. Overall the stay was very nice, comfortable and quiet. Enjoyed the house and the beach and would come back again. A gate on the back deck for the stairs would have been nice. Keep kids (don't have) and dogs from wondering off. - 4 stars because to me something has to be really fantastic for 5."

  • Nice place. Great view

"This was our second trip to Cape san blas. Definitely would rent this place again. House is very nice. Only complaint on the house was it could have been cleaner. There was sand under the dining room table rug. Could tell it had not been cleaned under in awhile. Same goes for the bunk beds on lower floor. Emailed Teresa and she got right back with me. Same goes for when a step came loose on the boardwalk to the beach. We had 3 adults and 6 kids. Plenty of room. Views are amazing, dolphins everyday were swimming by. Beaches are beautiful. October was nice, nobody there. At times we had it to ourselves it seemed like. Weather was perfect, mid 80s. First time we went was in June, hot then, expected in florida though. Read a lot about flies in October, was not that bad. Annoying a few times, but not unbearable. If you are looking for a lot to do then cape san blas is not for you. It's a sit back and relax kind of place. We did have a few jellyfish our last day, little girl next to us got stung. All in all the house is nice, the beaches are beautiful, and the area is very relaxing. Shelling was OK, able to have a fire on the beach was awesome. The few places to eat are good."
