  • Another GREAT week at Bella Vista

"Terri and Teresa - 2nd time staying at Bella and we had another great week. Cape San Blas reminds me of the Florida that I used to visit when a child. Unhurried and just epitome of the "Forgotten Coast". Bella with its secluded location and picturesque setting is hard to beat."

  • Awesome vaca

"Just got back from the cape. Nice house and very roomy. The ac didn't blow very cold first day but after a phone call the AC guy was there in 2 hours to add freon. It cooled the house down by the next day. Kitchen was well stocked. Loved the lay out of the house. Since this house is a 4 bedroom, I would add another sofa for the occupants. It was very open and airy and you could spread out with a family of 6. Washer and dryer worked great. Sunset views were awesome. My other only suggestion would be to tint or cover the top windows facing the west where the sun comes in and heats up the house in the evenings. I would stay here again. Coastal Joe answered all of my needs immediately. Dog friendly house and very clean and no smells either."

  • My home away from home!

"For the past three years I have stayed at Sea Ya Later during the winter season and plan to return again next year. It is perfect for me and my dog with a beautiful beach and ocean right outside the door. The house is a simple and basic beach house with all the amenities that I need. The rental service was quick to respond when several light bulbs burnt out and even put in a new mail box when I realized that my mail forwarding was in jeopardy without one. Since I have some mobility problems, they even sent a nice young man to help me unload my car and help me settle in for my stay so that I could avoid hauling stuff up the stairs! The review from 2012 does not reflect the improvements the owners made a few years ago and they recently put in a new flat screen in the living room which made streaming videos possible for me. There were lots of nice towels and plenty of cookware, dishes and utensils. Don't expect the upscale amenities a higher priced place will provide and you won't be disappointed. I enjoy the privacy, solitude and ability to do absolutely nothing while I am there and look forward to it each year. The grocery store in Port St. Joe has everything you need and the best steaks and seafood you could eat!"

  • Excellent

"Grand Escape is a very nice property, right on the beach. We spent a week there 4/30/16 - 5/7/16. There were a few minor maintenance issues that were addressed immediately once we brought them to the attention of the management company. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a nice quiet beach experience for a large group. There were only a handful of other people on the beach the entire week - almost like having a private beach to ourselves. The beach here is pet friendly and the houses next door did have dogs that barked in the mornings, but not too bad. In general, I consider the pet friendly beach a minor takeaway - I would rather be away from my and other peoples pets during my vacation. The house is decorated nicely and sufficiently upscale and clean with good furniture. The pictures online don't really do the house justice. We were surprised at how big the place was when we showed up - the pics made it look small, but it's definitely not small - we only had 6 in our party and at times when folks were on different floors it felt like you are there alone. It was fairly well stocked for cooking and has a gas grill on the kitchen level. We cooked for 6 people multiple nights without issues. One thing that would have been nice to have would be an ice cream scoop - maybe it's there and we just didn't find it. The elevator is also a bit finicky - but we figured it out well enough. If it was my house I would be complaining to the elevator company to fix it properly - it may need to be reset if you leave the door open longer than 5 minutes. There are signs saying this could result in an expensive service charge but we never had to do that - kind of absurd they would expect you to pay $$$ to fix their crummy elevator. I feel sure the maintenance company would have reset it for free if we needed it. I would definitely return to this place if I were planning to come back to Port St.Joe / Cape San Blas area. It's probably one of the nicer rentals in the area. We stayed on the Cape 1 other time about 4 years ago and that place was also very nice, but not quite as nice as this one."
