Great pet friendly vacation spot!
"An earlier review (from 2012) derided the beach as "dirty with seaweed" problem. Not at all a thing anymore.
Sand is white powder style, no seaweed was to be found. Now, she was right that you would not do any snorkeling, as the ocean there has large sandbars, so the water has silt in it from the waves crashing. The whole area, and most of the rentals, is/are dog friendly, I don't think I saw any non-dog owners at the beach. We were there during the week, and it was quite nearly a private beach. I think we ran into maybe 3 people each time we hit the beach. House is legitimately on the beach, with no houses in front or any such shenanigans. House is not luxurious, but the photos in the listing ring true. Grilling on the porch was made difficult by the constant ocean breezes, trying to blow the flames out. May have been the time of year. Anyhow, a great time for those who like pets and value privacy, vs. crowded beaches."

"This house has everything you need! The multi-level living made it easy for everyone to have enough space to spread out. The rooms were decorated nicely and were quite spacious. Being a pet friendly place, I wish there was no carpet. Carpet in the bedrooms showed signs of old stains, but was clean. The living room sofa and love seat could stand to be changed out. They showed major signs of wear and looked as if people sat on them with sunscreen on. The king mattress was pretty bad. That could stand to be replaced too. It was soft, but had the characteristic dips where one sleeps. Not easy on the back. Be ready to climb stairs. I am not the most active person normally, so my legs got a workout. It felt great to me, but may not for some. Nonetheless, the pool was beautiful. The wrap around porches and views were amazing! The uncrowded pet friendly beaches are amazing! The people of the area are all very friendly as well. The beach gear we got to rent for free was perfect, waiting for us upon arrival, and put to very good use. We rode the bikes to the Tradin' Post and got Weber's donuts on several occasions (a must!). We had fires on the beach! Magical! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you might need even though we ate at the Indian Pass Raw Bar three times during our week stay. Another absolute must! But go EARLY or you will be waiting a long time! The bathrooms were all very clean. The refrigerator downstairs in the foyer/mudroom entrance was a really nice touch and put to good use as well. There is a supply of beach chairs and pool and beach toys also, so no need to pack all of that. Overall, the house felt like home, lived in and cozy. Kids and adults alike all had a great time! One thing--I didn't even look in the drawers of the entertainment cabinet in the living room until the day we left. It was packed full of family dvd movies, games, puzzles, decks of cards, books, and even vhs movies! No need to lug your own dominos game (like we did). They had one there already! Thank you Sunset Reflections! We would stay at Beach Blas again in a second!"

"This was our second stay at Sirens Song on the Cape. Our family loves this home! We have three college age children that enjoy being able to run with our dog on the beach, paddle board in the bay, work out at the clubhouse and swim in the pool at the house. This home is both beautiful and comfortable. The décor is so tasteful and the kitchen has all the essentials. We grilled out most of our meals except for our two favorite spots, Indian Pass and Jo Mamas Pizza. We rented paddle boards for the week and also a boat for a day in Post St. Joe. I highly recommend this home for a wonderful vacation!!"

"Great place to stay. I've stayed in Port St Joe several times, first time in this rental. Cute and pet friendly. Its far enough away from the road where you donlt hear traffic and donlt have to worry with your dog running to it either. Not a bad walk to the beach. We drove down to the park and drove our truck out on the beach. Will def stay again!"
