  • I want to wave you off, but...

"I am a native Floridian who has lived in Georgia for 26 years. I had never been to the "Forgotten Coast" before renting this house. The beach is pristine with sugar sand and clear water. During spring break week, when PCB and Destin were zoos, this area was quiet, uncrowded, and heavenly. The house itself was immaculate and when I did have an issue come up, Patrick responded very quickly. The 2nd floor master suite was roomy and beautifully decorated. I really felt like I was in an upscale hotel. The main floor living and kitchen areas are gorgeous, well-decorated, and extremely well supplied. 3 corkscrews? That's for me. (No wine glasses, so bring your own if you're that picky about your glass!) My teen daughters were very comfortable in the bedroom with the twins and private bath. It was nicely decorated and has very high ceilings which made it feel bigger. I thought this house was an incredible value for the money and the location was a fabulous surprise. We were able to poke around Port St. Joe and enjoy the little shops and restaurants and the marina. We went into Apalachicola and shopped and walked around. We checked out Mexico Beach and also made a day trip up to PCB, enjoying a free air show of F22 Raptors while driving through Tyndall AFB. It was great to arrive early in PCB before the party crowd got up! We visited Gulf World (awesome animal care) and ate at Pineapple Willy's then got out early enough to avoid the crazies. Seriously, don't hesitate to rent this place. It was fantastic!"

  • Highly recommend!! Would stay again!!

"Immediately upon arriving at Kokomo, we knew we were going to love it and we certainly did. Everything from ample sleeping areas, a utility room full of boogie boards, chairs, floats, umbrellas, etc..., a fully stocked kitchen, close proximity to the beach, etc... This place was everything we needed... And more!! If you realize there was something you left behind and are in need of, just a few blocks away there are two convenience stores that can likely meet your needs. Otherwise, You will find a piggly wiggly, family dollar & a dollar general market a few miles away in Port St. Joe. Also, I must mention that the housekeeper is truly amazing. Not a grain of sand was to be seen inside the house upon our arrival. Now THAT is incredible!! We were there over the 4th of July and the fireworks were spectacular. We built bonfires on the beach several nights and enjoyed the company of friends and family. We brought a small dog, a Jack Russell, and the locked deck gate was a great asset because my doggie loves to run away any chance she gets. :-) Sadly, we had to leave the beach two nights early due to a family emergency, but we plan to be back again next year!! Thanks again, Melease, for sharing your home with my family."

  • Perfect Location on the Cape!

"This is our 3rd trip to Amelia By the Bay, that alone speaks well for any rental! Our Family consist of 6 adults ranging in age from 18 to 50+ years old. Amelia By the Bay has something for everyone. The home is centrally located to everything the Cape and surrounding areas have to offer. The Rental home is private (uncommon for beach areas) and has everything one could wish for. The Home is always clean and has an open floor plan that works great for family vacationers. This is one of only a few properties that has a 500' dock on the Bay. My family has experienced some new form of Marine life while observing from the dock each year! This year we found the home to have many updates and also added the paddle board to it's lineup that already had included Kayaks! The Screen house that includes the hammock is a must. There's also a fire pit at the Bay for conversation and smores! We had an unusual amount of rain during this trip, but the homes location made it easy to take advantage of the sunny periods and the screen house gave us shelter to wait out the smaller summer showers. I come to expect nothing but the best when arriving to Amelia by the Bay, but Marcia is the class of all owners! She is first class from initial communication when making reservations to checking on you once you arrive home. We experienced flooding back at our home during our stay and she was willing to help us in any way. Marcia went above and beyond to make us comfortable and accommodate us in many ways. To sum it up, Best location on the Bay/ Cape San Blas, Great home with everything you could possibly need, Privacy, Private 500' dock, Central location, and the best owner on the Cape. You cannot go wrong with this combination! Thanks so much for having us again! The Devilliers"

  • Family Celebration

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our fourth time at La Bella Vita...and it won't be our last!! The home perfectly accommodates our family, and it felt like home from the first time we were at Cape San Blas. From our point of view CSB is an ideal spot for relaxing. This year we had more reasons to celebrate our family. The beautiful Gulf beach was the setting for a wedding ceremony. It was a perfect in every way time for us. We love the casual atmosphere of the Cape with its glorious sunsets. The fresh seafood, especially the shrimp and oysters, are something we look forward to. An oyster roast is usually part of our week. It's a short drive to Apalachicola to buy a bushel of the freshest oysters imaginable. I know we'll be back again next summer for a week of rest and renewal."
