  • Memories That Last Forever

"My family stayed at Amelia By The Bay more than 5 years ago {before children/grandchildren :-)} and we were so happy that it was still available for rent this year. The family has grown since our last visit so this time we had a 3 year old son, Nathan, and 3 month old daughter to make our vacation even more enjoyable! Nathan, Daddy and Papa made numerous trips to the dock each day to check the bait traps. We always had a good supply of pinfish to use as bait and found that the fishing was best at night. Inside the home, we enjoyed cooking, playing and just being together as a family. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked and it was great to be able to wash clothes. Our Fall 2016 family vacation was something that we'll always remember, especially Nathan who did not want to leave. Marcia is so kind and easy to work with. Amelia BTB will see us again!!"

  • I want to wave you off, but...

"I am a native Floridian who has lived in Georgia for 26 years. I had never been to the "Forgotten Coast" before renting this house. The beach is pristine with sugar sand and clear water. During spring break week, when PCB and Destin were zoos, this area was quiet, uncrowded, and heavenly. The house itself was immaculate and when I did have an issue come up, Patrick responded very quickly. The 2nd floor master suite was roomy and beautifully decorated. I really felt like I was in an upscale hotel. The main floor living and kitchen areas are gorgeous, well-decorated, and extremely well supplied. 3 corkscrews? That's for me. (No wine glasses, so bring your own if you're that picky about your glass!) My teen daughters were very comfortable in the bedroom with the twins and private bath. It was nicely decorated and has very high ceilings which made it feel bigger. I thought this house was an incredible value for the money and the location was a fabulous surprise. We were able to poke around Port St. Joe and enjoy the little shops and restaurants and the marina. We went into Apalachicola and shopped and walked around. We checked out Mexico Beach and also made a day trip up to PCB, enjoying a free air show of F22 Raptors while driving through Tyndall AFB. It was great to arrive early in PCB before the party crowd got up! We visited Gulf World (awesome animal care) and ate at Pineapple Willy's then got out early enough to avoid the crazies. Seriously, don't hesitate to rent this place. It was fantastic!"

  • Highly recommend!! Would stay again!!

"Immediately upon arriving at Kokomo, we knew we were going to love it and we certainly did. Everything from ample sleeping areas, a utility room full of boogie boards, chairs, floats, umbrellas, etc..., a fully stocked kitchen, close proximity to the beach, etc... This place was everything we needed... And more!! If you realize there was something you left behind and are in need of, just a few blocks away there are two convenience stores that can likely meet your needs. Otherwise, You will find a piggly wiggly, family dollar & a dollar general market a few miles away in Port St. Joe. Also, I must mention that the housekeeper is truly amazing. Not a grain of sand was to be seen inside the house upon our arrival. Now THAT is incredible!! We were there over the 4th of July and the fireworks were spectacular. We built bonfires on the beach several nights and enjoyed the company of friends and family. We brought a small dog, a Jack Russell, and the locked deck gate was a great asset because my doggie loves to run away any chance she gets. :-) Sadly, we had to leave the beach two nights early due to a family emergency, but we plan to be back again next year!! Thanks again, Melease, for sharing your home with my family."

  • Beach Week

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a beautiful home! Perfect for 3 couples, a 1 year old, and an energetic lab that loves to swim. (Just remember your baby gates for stair areas.) We sunbathed, swam, fished (enjoyed fresh stuffed flounder for dinner one night), crabbed, built sandcastles, found many shells, and took long relaxing walks along the beach. The sunsets were absolutely amazing and the water was crystal clear. If you like barbecue, make sure you eat at the restaurant down the road. It was great. We did not want to return home -where traffic is bumper to bumper and the beaches are so crowded! Hope to make plans for next year soon. Thank you!!!"
