Very well appointed family beach house
"This is a wonderful vacation spot for a family that just wants to get away from their busy schedules, spend lots of time together at a beautiful beach in a home thoughtfully appointed for all ages. The listing was very accurate in terms of location, layout and amenities. The property was very well maintained and clean. The owner was delightful to work with, as he answered all questions promptly and was very accommodating to our schedule and questions. The beach is an easy walk away and the surf varied by day, which provided a nice change in possible activities in the water. The beach is unbeatable in the evening - it would come alive with people as the sun went down and the temperature cooled. I would definitely recommend this property to those looking to really get away."

"We have been visiting CSB since 2005 and have stayed at many homes including another home in the Barefoot Trace neighborhood, some better then others and this one definitely was one of the better ones . The area is very quiet without a ton of houses nearby so the beach isn't very crowded. It is also located close to Scallop Cove and The Trading Post if you need to pick something up from the store but I suggest stopping in Port St. Joe at Piggly Wiggly for groceries before heading to the Cape. The walk to the beach is not that far and the owners provide lots of extras for you to use. Their housekeeper does a fantastic job and the house was very clean. We had 5 staying and there was plenty of room for all of us. My teenager slept on the fold out couch and my 10yr old daughter slept on the rollaway bed neither had a complaint about them. My husband and I stayed in the master bedroom and the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very nice with a nice jet tub and shower. My MIL stayed in the other room and she also said her bed was very comfortable. They have done a lot of upgrades in the home and I was very pleased with the nice appliances in the kitchen. The owner is very nice and will give you lots of great info if this is your first time staying on the Cape. I recommend Shoobies for soft serve ice cream or Italian ice and Trading Post for ice cream in many flavors! Indian Pass Raw bar for oysters or shrimp or if you want to travel into Apalachicola Up the Creek is a great place to eat. Joe Mama's Pizza in Port St. Joe is the best pizza place if you want a break from seafood while there. I would definitely recommend Home By the Sea to friends and plan on staying here again on our next trip to our favorite place in the sand!"

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
My family and I had never been to the Cape San Blas area in Florida, so we were somewhat taking a chance when we booked this vacation. The whole process of booking "Beach Haven" went very smoothly. Communication with the owner was concise and informative and timely. We had no issue with the property. It was clean and well kept. Great location to the beach and pool. If you are looking for a place to bring your kids, this is the place. Nice pool. The week we were there, we had no issues with overcrowding at the beach. The location of the house is convenient to Port St. Joe, Cape San Blas and Apalachicola. If there is one thing to label as a negative item it would be the comfort of the beds. They seemed like cheap mattresses to me and were a bit more firm than I like. But I realize this is a rental property and that having bedding that suites everyones taste is impossible. Overall, very pleased!"

"Our family spent a long weekend here to connect before the chaos of school begins. The Amazing Grace was perfect for our group! The access to the beach was terrific and the house was nice. The only piece of advice I would give the owners is to be more descriptive of the items that come with the rental- (beach chairs, soap/shampoos, etc) so that they can properly plan for their trip. All in all a great experience for my family!!!"
