  • Great place to stay. Great owners and managers!

"We have been visiting the cape for several years and have stayed in many different houses. Gone Catchin is a great option for a small family. We stayed with our two kids (8 and 11) and had plenty of room. The kitchen is well stocked and the family room has plenty of seating. While I would love to see a king bed in one of the rooms in the future, the 2 queens fit our needs. The house is updated for the most part and has everything you need to be comfortable. The beach is super close - we have stayed at the oceanfront house in front of Gone Catchin and it really is only a few additional steps to the beach. Helen, the owner, was easy to work with and very responsive. We only had to call the management company once for a broken AC fan, but they were extremely quick to respond and could not have been nicer. We absolutely loved our stay and have already booked next year."

  • Perfect

"This was my second trip to the area of Cape San Blas, Port St Joe and Mexico Beach but I stayed at the Mainstays. That was nice but staying at the Pelicans Nest was fantastic! This was my husbands first trip to area and my 8 yr old German Shepherd Husky mixes first time to the beach and he absolutely loved the ocean. The house was perfect for what we needed, somewhere our dog (and we)would feel comfortable if we left him alone for a little while. The house was stocked with everything we could have needed, clean and inviting. Short walk to the beach, I will say the only thing I don't care for is people can drive their vehicles on the beach but that's not the Ayers' fault. It just scares my dog so I don't like it. 🙂 But it's a wonderful place to stay and definitely will stay again in the future."

  • Great house on a quiet part of the beach

"The house was well suited to our two families. My mom, myself and another couple enjoyed the top half of the house, while the three kids (under 7) split the bunk beds on the bottom floor. Bayside windows offered morning sunrises and the deck on the back, as well as in the master, were great for sunsets. The kitchen was well equipped and the bottom floor had a second refrigerator for storing extra drinks/groceries. The utility room had lots of boogie boards for general. The beach itself was perfect...sugar sand, lots of rays, fish, dolphins, birds. The owners were quick to respond to a request we had."
