  • Amazing. None better. Fantastic. Wonderful. Best vacation ever.

"We hosted our wedding here. I can't say enough how truly happy we are with this house, this island, this beach, this property owner (Lori) etc. This is it. We will be back a thousand times in the future. So so happy."

  • Location. Location. Location!

"If you truly are in need of peace and quiet, this is the place. It's a very comfortable home with private beach access and hardly anyone around. On christmas day we were the only ones on the beach. We stayed for a week and walked the beach every morning and encountered other residents only once. The only ones making noise are the squirls and an angry bird ( cardinal) fighting his own reflection in a window. Apalachicola is 40 minutes away, well worth the drive. Great restaurants and nice shopping. Supermarkets are not nearby, but the road to Carabelle or Panacea is good and not very busy. The owner was very friendly and advised us were to go for shopping, entertainment and even which garage to go to since we had a puncture in one of our car tires. Do the Jungle tour in wakulla springs park (excellent!), drive to the st Marks wildlife refuge and the lighthouse later in the day for spectacular sunsets, have lunch or dinner in Apalachicola If you're in for peace and quiet and a lovely deserted beach, this is the place. • Best family beach house and beach setting.

"We arrived the day after Hurricane Hermes had come ashore before Labor Day just a few miles east of this Carrabelle beach house. Carrabelle never lost power. The area did have some water walking to the beach but there had been 10 inches of rain the day before. The house itself is very open, very well maintained and has everything we needed to cook meals for the 13 people we total had. The layout of the house is one you will want the plans for. The beach itself is white sand, hard sandy bottom, seems private and we had a great time swimming with our 4 to 7 year old grandkids since the wave action is low. We caught some trout wading off the beach also for a great meal. Everything is supplied just like the owner said as if checking in to a good hotel. I hesitate to say too much good as I don't too much competition when we try to rent this place again. Thanks to Elizabeth Odom for patience as this was my first use of any VRBO. Sincerely, Jeff"

  • Wonderful home to vacation in!

"Hakuna Matata is a wonderful home-away-from-home place to stay!! So much space, we weren't tripping over each other. Loved the pocket doors to block off a sleeping area so one could wake up and move around without waking others. The beach view can't be beat! Loved watching the dolphins from the porch while enjoying a wonderful breeze! I will be back!"
