  • Great vacation home on a beautiful Florida beach!

"Loved our stay here! Property is well maintained, clean and very comfortable. The home is very nicely decorated, the Kitchen is well stocked and appliances all in good working order. St George Island is a beautiful, uncrowded, peaceful beach facing the Gulf. If you don't want to take a dip in the ocean, there is a beautiful secluded salt water pool at the side of the house. Owners were very responsive, and it was very easy to work with them. Most amenities are a short bike ride away on the island, so might want to rent some bikes for your stay. If you're a bit more discerning about the quality of your bike & kayak rentals you might want to check out St. George Island Journeys. For food, avoid SGI Fresh Market. Ask locally about where to get the fresh fish. Appalachiacola is a fun little town worth visiting and including eating oysters. I would recommend this home to anyone who asks."

  • Beyond our Expectations in Every Way

"Our family had the opportunity to stay in Blue Heaven this past week and I cannot express how much we loved this house. Blue Heaven has the feel of a home rather than just a typical beach rental house--from the decor, to condition of the home, to the generous amenities shared by the owners with their guests, Blue Heaven was the perfect place to relax and enjoy our week at St. George Island. Our teenagers especially loved the ping-pong table on the first level overlooking the beach, and we all enjoyed the kayaks and the quality beach chairs provided by the owners. In fact, there is a whole closet of fun beach gear that they generously share with their guests. The kitchen has everything you need and more (and the Green Egg for grilling was a treat for my husband! ;) All of the living areas have expansive views of the beach, which is literally steps away. Oh, and the outdoor lounging options are fabulous! We all enjoyed reading on the swing bed and the hammocks. And the best part are the owners and Jamie, who manages the property. We had a situation arise during our stay that had nothing to do with the house--even though Jamie and the owners had absolutely no obligation to help us work through this situation, they graciously did so anyway. We are so grateful. We discovered first hand that the kind words in the reviews of others are completely deserved. We have been coming to SGI one to two time per year for 10 years and this was by far one of our VERY favorite homes--we definitely hope to return soon!"

  • Very comfy and well-equipped. Beautiful home!

"We spent July 17 - 24 at Morningside by the Sea and had a wonderful stay. The house is well appointed, clean and comfortable...just as advertised. We highly recommend it for consideration! The owner's giving our family access to the storage room for use of bikes, chairs and floats was much appreciated. The Gulf was warm, clear and calm and the uncrowded beach is a quick and pleasant walk from the house. The Plantation pool and clubhouse are a short bike ride along the paved path. Be sure to take the time to see some of the surrounding area. The lighthouse, State Park and Apalachicola are must sees. We bought great fresh local seafood to cook at home from Doug's on the island and Island View in East Point. For eating out try the Hole in the Wall and Owl Café in Apalachicola and Family Coastal in East Point. It was a fine vacation and we will be back!"

  • Good location with lots of room

"This property is very roomy, quiet and conveniently located; walk to the beach, the bay, shops, rental places and food on the island and take an easy bike ride to the state park (which is truly beautiful and pristine). The house is in the trees, so not as hot as the houses right on the beach and you can enjoy a nice breeze while sitting on one of the two covered decks that face the gulf (but you are not able to access the rooftop deck)! Kitchen and its tools are ok for making light meals or breakfasts (go out and eat fresh seafood!). Amenities are basic. Double beds and pillows are comfy. Host is very responsive and easy to rent from. Our family of four had plenty of space, played some of the games left at the house but really enjoyed being able to access the offerings of St. George Island easily! Would rent again!"
