  • Beautiful condo with a beautiful view!!

"The condo was beautiful with tons of living space! It is located on the bay, but there is relatively easy access to the beach across the foot bridge. I had 2 toddlers (1.5 & 3) and all their gear, so the journey to the beach was harder than it would be with older kids or adults. The condo's patio space was amazing. We ate most meals out there and partook in the large hot tub when the kiddos went to sleep. The only negative about the patio space was that there was cigarette ash from the upper units on the floor. I informed the owner of this, and he is working with the property manager to ensure that his guests have recourse if this happens again. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, utensils, and other appliances. All of the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The master bath was extremely impressive! The Heron building has its own pool, which was a very short walk from the unit. The larger pool, the lazy river, and the zero-depth toddler pool were all loads of fun. There is a Tom Thumb within walking distance, and the Publix grocery store is a very short drive away. I recommend the Gulfarium if you have kids with you and exploration of both the FWB and Destin harbor walks. Overall, we had a great trip and we will definitely consider this condo again next time we come to FWB!"

  • Overall a great place to stay!

"Pros: This condo is decorated beautifully! The resort is awesome bc you have access to the beach, bay, and multiple pools as well as the Ramada pool next door. This particular condo is located on the beach side and is on the same level as the skywalk to access the lazy river on the bay side of the resort. Not mentioned in this listing, there is a deck box on the patio that had 2 beach chairs, 2 boogie boards, 2 fishing poles (bring your own string and bait), beach umbrella, and bucket with shovels for beach play. This was such a nice perk but I wish I would have known ahead of time so I didn't haul chairs and umbrellas from Cincinnati. There is a parking garage for resort guests to use. Cons: The condo had a mildew smell to it. We also called Wyndham Vacations (owners) directly to complain of a nonworking phone, disgustingly dirty AC filter, and patio door that did not close completely and therefore unable to lock. No one ever came the 5 days we were there to fix any of these reported problems. Also, the pull out sofa is incredibly uncomfortable but suited my 5 & 7 year old ok. I definitely would not advise for an adult. The stoves did not get very hot and took 20 minutes to scramble eggs one morning. I would suggest eating out anyway though. Mcquires, The Back Porch, Boshamps, Harry T's, and the Crab Trap were all great! If you are looking for a view I would not suggest this condo because it essentially overlooks a parking lot. You can barely see the ocean and bay. Also, there is not a washer and dryer in the unit but you can pay to do laundry at the Ramada next door. Lastly, we tried to check in early bc the condo wasn't rented the day before but they said no early check ins during summer months. Overall a great trip and a good place to stay!"

  • Nice last minute trip!

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked this condo after Labor Day. The property manager was very quick to respond. We stayed on the bay side, since we have a toddler & there was easy access to the lazy river & zero entry pool. My family visited the beach, Oceanside pool & splash pad during our stay. It is a long walk, but it was very nice to have the crosswalk & all of the amenities. The actual condo was showing some age in the shower & the paint. The ice in the freezer had a sulfer taste, but there is a gas station next door where you can purchase ice. I would definitely stay here again. The little things were not that big of a deal. We made breakfast most mornings & there were plenty of utensils. I have a bad back, so I was worried about the bed, but it was so comfy! The garage offered so much for us to use. It was very organized & easy to find anything. Since it was the off season, there was no trouble finding a parking place under the condos & they were big enough for our suv."

  • Perfect amenities and location.

"We just finished our vacation at this property, and would highly recommend it. Everything was as advertised. The condo was nicely equipped and clean, and the view of the ocean from the patio was priceless. Some of the additional highlights included parking right near the condo in a covered garage, several pools to enjoy, as well as walking distance to many great restaurants. Staci was also great to work with and very fast with follow-up and any questions. My fiancé Terri and I look forward to a return visit in the future."
