  • Wonderful family vacation

"We stayed at Salty Dogs May 21st through May 28th and had an incredible family vacation. Chris was absolutely wonderful to work with during the booking/reservation phase and was right down the road once we arrived at the home if we needed anything at all. The house was immaculate; probably the cleanest vacation rental we've stayed in. The home was well stocked and very well maintained. Like a previous reviewer posted, the home feels very private with the mature shrubbery on either side. We enjoyed the views of St. Vincent Island, swimming, shelling and fires on the beach. After leaving, we realized that we left our dvd case in the home. A quick phone call to Chris (which he always answers!) remedied our forgetfulness AND he took care of the cost of shipping! Thanks so much, Chris, for opening up your beautiful home to us and for an amazing family vacation."

  • Fun in the sun at the Barnicle!

"Indian Pass is so laid back, no crowds, very little traffic, and EVERYONE is so friendly. The barnacle is quaint and comfortable; it is located just a few yards from the beach. Just a few step down a hidden like path and when you reach the end it’s like you are at a secret beach. On the beach you will meet friendly beachcombers and dog walkers. You can find endless amounts of shells. Our children loved finding whole sand dollars. If you love to fish, you can fish right off the beach. My husband fished every day, he tried the artificial bait but, yeah right the fish here go after fresh bait! I talked to Janice several times before our trip, she was very helpful in sharing information in regard to Indian Pass beach and surrounding areas, activities, stores (there is a Piggly Wiggly and a Dollar General to get groceries and that is it!!!) restaurants (our favorite was Joe Mama's Wood Fired Pizza) in the area she also helped me with knowing what to pack and what not to pack. This was a wonderful trip and we all came back very relaxed! If you want a 2 bedroom quiet house to spend lots of family time and cook together in you should look no further!!!! This was an amazing trip and house."

  • Paradise with all the creature comforts of the 21st century

"This place is amazing! We stayed here with some old college friends and made some incredible lasting memories. It was a unique experience because it was like being at a remote paradise yet with all the technological marvels we’ve come to expect in today’s world. A picture might be worth a thousand words, but photos don’t do this place justice! The property is set in a tiny enclave amidst a small peninsula; you are surrounded by nature on all sides. First world conveniences are a short drive away in the quaint town of Port St. Joe and there are plenty of touristy things to do on a day trip. Our favorite part was just hanging around the beach house enjoying the beauty of nature that surrounds the property, the gorgeous beach, the splendid sunsets and sunrises and spending time with family and friends in the common areas. The layout is perfect for gatherings and with many different living areas it never felt crowded. The property is well stocked and we were surprised at the high end quality of the appliances – definitely not your typical short term rental! The beach is so peaceful and private unlike most places that we’ve visited in the past. The community pool was never occupied each time we went and the amenities like the outdoor shower, fire pit, picnic tables and open deck for al fresco dining was icing on the cake. Tech junkies will love the electronic locks, the dual Nest for multi-zoned climate controls, the high speed internet with VOIP telephony as well as the variety of electronic entertainment options. The only shortfall was the fact that all good things must come to an end and our week was over long before we were ready to leave. We will definitely be putting this place on our list of places to come back to and highly recommend this property to anyone!"
