  • Can we get any closer to the beach???

"When we originally booked Indian Summer, we thought 4 weeks would be good. After thinking about being in Minnesota in any part of winter, we increased our stay to 6 weeks (without any problem on the owner's part). We were so happy to be in this house, on this beach, for 6 weeks. The stars shine so brightly, the waves sound so peaceful. It was an added bonus to see dolphins most every day, but especially great to see them before we checked out on our last day! We had a couple things that needed fixing and the owner was prompt in taking care of those things. The kitchen is well stocked! The beds are comfortable! The beach is spectacular! We enjoyed coffee every morning on the deck, enjoyed lunches on the screen porch. Our daughter and her family joined us for a few days and seeing our granddaughters on the beach was priceless! We will be back, guaranteed!"

  • The Wind And the Stars

"So tranquil, very few people on the beach. Ginger, my golden retriever, was able to run, swim, and chase birds to her hearts content. We arrived when there was no moon so the Milky Way was in full brilliance. The park at Cape San Blas is a true gem and just a short drive away. The house itself has a wonderful peaceful feeling. Many hours were enjoyed water coloring on the back porch and reading on the front porch. The owners were very kind and warm. One of my favorite vacations ever."

  • Best Family Vacation - ever!

"This was the first family vacation, with multiple generations, our family has taken (14 people). The house was perfectly designed to accommodate privacy for members as well as amble space for cooking, gathering and showering afterwards. Our grandchildren, 5 yrs/7 yrs loved the spiral staircases. We especially enjoyed being able to sit on the deck/ rocking chairs throughout the day, watching the activity on the beach, including early sunrises, fun time on the beach and evening sunsets. The location at St. Joe Beach also afforded numerous opportunities for dining out, deep sea fishing trips, dive trips, and numerous other local trips. We visited with several local folks, including the restaurant across street, Shipwreck. They were willing to grill our fish caught on the deep sea fishing trip - was delicious! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Can't say enough of how perfect this was for a family vacation. The first week of may was perfect timing for warm days and cool nights."

  • Wonderful family vacation

"We stayed at Salty Dogs May 21st through May 28th and had an incredible family vacation. Chris was absolutely wonderful to work with during the booking/reservation phase and was right down the road once we arrived at the home if we needed anything at all. The house was immaculate; probably the cleanest vacation rental we've stayed in. The home was well stocked and very well maintained. Like a previous reviewer posted, the home feels very private with the mature shrubbery on either side. We enjoyed the views of St. Vincent Island, swimming, shelling and fires on the beach. After leaving, we realized that we left our dvd case in the home. A quick phone call to Chris (which he always answers!) remedied our forgetfulness AND he took care of the cost of shipping! Thanks so much, Chris, for opening up your beautiful home to us and for an amazing family vacation."
