  • Great family spot

"We loved our time at MDV. More of a quiet private type beach. The house was well supplied with kitchen items and a TV in every room. We split our beach time with the state park to experience something a little different and because we did have a run in with a jellyfish the second day. The water is a little clearer at the park. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch. The only bugs we found to be a problem were the mosquitos right under the house. Wear bug spray at night and you'll be fine. No problem with sand fleas or flies. This spot is a great place for nature lovers with lots of wild/sealife. Loved it."

  • Excellent location

"This is our second year in a row to stay at Whataday. I just want to mention that last year I made mention that a new shower head would help upstairs. This year, there is a new shower head and the water pressure is much better. So, just know these owners are tops and really care about their renters. We are here during 4th of July week and just meeting a lot of the same people from last year. The view is to die for. Our dogs are welcomed by everyone and just seriously the very best location with The Trading Post within walking distance. I also might mention, there are miles and miles of bike paths that we take full advantage of. We will definitely stay here again next year."

  • Highly recommend!! Would stay again!!

"Immediately upon arriving at Kokomo, we knew we were going to love it and we certainly did. Everything from ample sleeping areas, a utility room full of boogie boards, chairs, floats, umbrellas, etc..., a fully stocked kitchen, close proximity to the beach, etc... This place was everything we needed... And more!! If you realize there was something you left behind and are in need of, just a few blocks away there are two convenience stores that can likely meet your needs. Otherwise, You will find a piggly wiggly, family dollar & a dollar general market a few miles away in Port St. Joe. Also, I must mention that the housekeeper is truly amazing. Not a grain of sand was to be seen inside the house upon our arrival. Now THAT is incredible!! We were there over the 4th of July and the fireworks were spectacular. We built bonfires on the beach several nights and enjoyed the company of friends and family. We brought a small dog, a Jack Russell, and the locked deck gate was a great asset because my doggie loves to run away any chance she gets. :-) Sadly, we had to leave the beach two nights early due to a family emergency, but we plan to be back again next year!! Thanks again, Melease, for sharing your home with my family."

  • Great time with the real Florida!

"This is one of the most private spots I have ever been in Florida. The house was well accommodating for all of our needs. It was well stocked in the kitchen and this led to us "dining in" most nights. The private walk to the beach was also nice. We done a lot of fishing and relaxing on the beach. I do wish however some of the trees and bushes would have been trimmed/removed. Overall this is a great place to take your family if you are looking to connect with the real forgotten coast."
