  • I didn't think this existed anymore, but it does!

"This was my first time at Soul Happy. I had been looking for close to a year to try and find something that was old Florida, the old Florida i remembered as a child. My family lived in Pensacola in the 60's, dad was in the Navy. My experience when looking, was Condo's and Resorts with thousands of tourist. I did not want that. Soul Happy, turned out to be exactly what i was looking for and it was "big" dog friendly, hard to find in Florida! Me and my Luigi really enjoyed our stay. It still holds the old 50's cabinets, ect. The fenced in yard was an extra bonus! The deck with the swing was ideal for just my pooch and i to enjoy quite and private outside time. Great place to eat breakfast in the morning. Luigi took a bit to except the waves crashing on the shoreline, but once he got use to it, he loved it!! There are crabs in the evening that Luigi loved to chase, the funny part is, a small crabbed scared him so bad he jumped back so far. I got the best laugh!! He left those crabs alone after that! Luigi weighs 77 lbs and that small crab got the best of him. For myself, the quite, no stress time was so needed. The sunsets and sunrises were amazing! The people i met on the beach, those with and those without dogs, were so friendly. They were like long time friends. I could go on and on, but i think that's enough. One more thing, the shower in this house is great. Just the right amount of water pressure! I slept out on the sleeping porch and that bed is so comfortable! It was hard to leave. I will be back!"

  • Great place to stay for a couple of days or a month

"Had a great time. Location was perfect, close to marina and all my favorite fishing spots. House was emaculate. Dock has plenty of water even at low tide for boat mooring. Need to fix the water access to the fish cleaning station. The view from the second floor is spectacular, loved watching sun set."

  • Very clean, spacious and comfortable home

"We were 2 families of 4 and fit comfortably. Loved the open floorplan and covered deck. Open deck at night allowed for great star gazing. A/C was plenty strong. There is special storage room for beach umbrellas, chairs, and toys. Overall house is well designed and maintained. Highly recommended."

  • Awesome Place to Relax

"My husband, our dogs, and I had the best vacation at this home. Lois is absolutely amazing to work with. We had the most amazing time watching the dolphins, fishing, kayaking, hanging out on the back deck, and the best part was watching the pelicans dive bomb for fish (the most funniest thing to see...hahaha). The home was well stocked with all kitchen appliance, utensils, linens, and plenty of towels. It has excellent WI-FI, and cable TV in every room. It has plenty of room for the whole family. You will not be disappointed spending your time at this home. The back deck is gated so we didn't have to worry about our pets getting out while we hung out watching all the wildlife. The City of Carrabelle is a small fishing town with not a lot of restaurants (we did go to Hog Wild BBQ and it was AWESOME!). We did most of our grocery shopping at the local grocery store (IGA) and mainly cooked all of our meals at the house. We were looking for a quiet place to relax, and we found it at Life's a Beach! We will definitely be back next year."
