"I can honestly say that our week at Emerald Dolphin was one of the nices beach vacations I've ever had. I grew up in Pensacola and visit there often, and have stayed in a number of hotels on the beach, but this was my first experience using VRBO to rent a condo. I was drawn to this unit because of the pictures of the stunning views of not only the Gulf, but also the island and the bay. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! When you walk in, you are greeted by floor to ceiling windows to the south, east and north, and the views are nothing short of spectacular!!
The condo itself was bright, clean and inviting. The 3 bedrooms with attached baths were comfortable and nicely decorated. There was plenty of room for my daughter, 2 grandsons and me without constantly being in each other' space. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare the meals we stayed in for, although we did take advantage of some of the great seafood restaurants on the beach. There was plenty of seating room for meals and for relaxing in the living room in the evenings. I worried that we might constantly be waiting for an elevator since we were on the 16th floor, but that was never the case. The swimming pool was never crowded; there were always plenty of chairs available. The beach is a short walk across the street, taking only 5 minutes or so.
Jacqui was great to work with from the time we first decided to stay here until our vacation ended. Any questions or concerns I had were addressed in a timely manner. When we got to the condo we noticed that a number of light bulbs were burned out. I contacted her and she had someone out within a few hours to change them. When we had another issue with the dining room light fixture, the maintenance guy was again out within hours. I would caution others that when she says to get the parking tag in your car quickly, she means it. I waited about an hour and had a warning on my windshield.
If I had any complaints or suggestions at all it would be these:
* We had trouble figuring out how the front door lock worked. Instructions on this included with the door codes, etc., would be helpful.
* Hand towel bars by the bathroom sink and hooks on the back of the bathroom doors would be nice
* There's no place at all to sit inside the condo when you have on a damp bathing suit. Waterproof coverings on the dining room chair, perhaps, would be nice, so you could run up for lunch and back to the pool or beach without changing."
