  • Teacher Spring Break!

"We were so looking forward to a peaceful vacation and that is what we got! The condo is at the quiet end of Orange Beach, but close enough to stores and night time action when we wanted some! Not too many kids which was a bonus for middle school teachers. This was not a large complex, so it was relatively quiet and the elevators were quick. The condo was well insulated, we heard very little door slamming, kids crying, hallway running while we were there. The condo was clean and the kitchen was nicely updated. The view was amazing and the beds were to die for! Our only issue was the TV in the living room had sound issues, but we weren't there to watch TV so no big deal. And after a bad storm one of the light bulbs blew out and glass went everywhere. The day it rained we drove 3 short hours to New Orleans and had a blast. This was our first time to the area and will return. Doc's Seafood and Lamberts were awesome and the Wharf was fun to see at night. DO NOT EAT at BUBBAS, it was a rip-off. Ask locals for the best place to eat and shop. We brought our own chairs, would have rented beach service but thought it was high at $30 a day, but they do give a break for multiple days. Take your own laundry soap, toilet paper, and paper towel if your there for more than 3 days. Enjoy this great low key vacation spot! Thank you Luxury Coastal Vacations!"

  • Misleading

"Overall the unit was great, but be careful. The FREE BEACH SERVICE only gets you 2 chairs. We had to pay $420 for additional chairs, which made us upset because everyone had beach chairs and umbrellas at home but we did not bring them because it said FREE BEACH SERVICE. When I called Luxury Coastal Vacations they agreed that THEIR description was misleading and said SORRY. Well sorry won't buy you a cup of coffee. Oh and what about the "resort fee"? Calling this place a resort is kind of a stretch also. No pool bar, no music at the pool. Also we found out that the rules are only for renters. The unit owners were smoking on the balcony below us, which made us unable to sit on our balcony, and at the pool. I told the front desk several times and nothing was done about it. In passing conversation we found out they were owners."

  • Easy Beach Access and Beautiful Balcony View

"My husband and I stayed at Gulf Side Villas in October, 2016. The condo was very clean, comfortable, and decorated nicely. Best part - you are right on the beach! The view from the balcony is awesome with a door off the balcony that leads to a stairway to the boardwalk across the dunes - just took a minute or two from the balcony to sitting on the beach! Since this complex only has 8 condos, there was never a crowd on the beach at all! The National Seashore is only 3 or 4 miles away - this is a great place to walk with the ocean on one side and the bay on the other. Gulf Side Villas is a wonderful location!"

  • Always a pleasure

"This was our second time staying at Beach Colony. We were pleased again! The condo was actually better in person than the pics. The decor is appropriately beachy. We had all the necessities, and then some. Our only glitch was were awakened at 6 am by the fire alarms and had to call the fire department. There was a faulty detector, it happens. Of course we hit the Florabama while there. Also, recommend the Crab Trap and Tacky Jacks in Orange beach was a great little find. We were there for spring break and it's a nice relaxing place for families!"
