  • Wonderful Week

"We had a wonderful week at Rendezvous. The house was VERY nice, very clean. The kitchen was big, well stocked with everything you'd need. Loved the location - close to the ice cream and donut place !! We had two couples that shared the place, but there was room for many more. One last comment - Pristene Properties were great to work with. Plenty of communications on the rental, what to bring, information on the area etc. Highly recommend it."

  • Sportsman's Paradise!!!!!

"There's tons to do here! You can wade out into the water and pick up all the fresh scallops you want! This is the scallop capital of the world! Plenty of oysters and clams here too. Catch shrimp all day with a cast net! I've only been here once, and I'm already in love with the little pier! I cleaned 17 fish and we had a big fish fry. Take home an 12-18" whelk shell. We even cooked a few whelks. I've stayed at a lot of beach houses, but none like this. You don't even have to get into your car---just bring a few basic pieces of saltwater gear---and you can catch your supper! Or, come unprepared and stop at Bluewater Outriggers (just 3 min. down the road). They have anything you might need. You'll also find tons of giant starfish, crabs, hermit crabs, minnows, etc. It doesn't take long to fill up one of the bins from the house and make an aquarium for the kids. Plenty of things here for them to catch too. The water at the house is on the bay, so it stays calm and ideal for small children. There's so much to find out there that the big kids have plenty to do to: kayaking, swimming ...learning how to be a hunter-gatherer! The Port St. Joe Marina has day trips on boats for catching American Red Snapper, Grouper, and all of the best stuff that I'm only used to spending a lot more money for, to get out into the Gulf Stream on the Carolina coast. But from here, all of the good stuff is right there as soon as you get out of the bay! There are also scalloping and snorkeling boats, but you won't need to spend the money on that since you can just go off the beach in this house's back yard. Just wade out there with snorkel masks, and plop your head down for a while. The house is great too. Very nice outdoor shower. Everything is really ideal for a family and lots of activity. There are great private access swimming pools about 100 yards down the beach, as part of the gated community. It's nice to not be worried about the problem of "herding cats" with a large family group with kids. It's very safe for bike rides and walks. There's plenty of sleeping arrangement flexibility too. Lots of windows face the beach to the west. So, it's fun to eat supper while the sunset turns everything pink inside. Cool atmosphere. Panama City is an hour away. If you get stir crazy, or if there's a bad weather day, you can always find plenty to do there. Great outlet shopping, and tons of tourist attractions (comparable to Myrtle Beach). I can't wait to bring my family back to this place!"
