  • Another GREAT Vacation

"Once again, we spent a week in this clean, beautiful, well stocked beach cottage. Mark is a pleasure to deal with and his cottage is awesome. This was our 2nd year staying here and the weather was simply amazing. I would recommend this cottage to anyone (I have to lots of people) and will for sure be back. It's so quiet and peaceful!!!"

  • Perfect TownHome

"First time at Port St Joe. But will not be our last. Everything was gorgeous!!!! The townhome was beautiful and clean. Plenty of room for our family of 8. The owner was very nice and helpful with any questions that we had. They have made sure that the townhome was stocked with everything that you may need. Very short walk to the beach. The beach is beautiful and quiet. My family can not wait to go back. We will be staying at Stars on the Water again!!!"

  • Great time with the real Florida!

"This is one of the most private spots I have ever been in Florida. The house was well accommodating for all of our needs. It was well stocked in the kitchen and this led to us "dining in" most nights. The private walk to the beach was also nice. We done a lot of fishing and relaxing on the beach. I do wish however some of the trees and bushes would have been trimmed/removed. Overall this is a great place to take your family if you are looking to connect with the real forgotten coast."

  • As close to heaven in this lifetime!

"My sister and I spent a week at Cape Ann and I cannot express in words how beautiful that spot is. Early morning and at dusk were my favorite times of the day. The light is very soft and the colors of the sky, the ocean and the beach slowly meld together until all is dark and still. We had beautiful weather and it warmed up enough towards the end of the week so we got to swim. The water was crystal clear. St. Joe's Pennisula State Park is just down the road and they rent kayaks which was fun. The local people were so very friendly and helpful. The area is non commercial which attracted us. This house is wonderful. So comfortable and very, very clean! All the rooms on the gulf side of the house have large sliding glass doors which open onto a screened porch and a breathtaking view of the water and the dunes. This beach is a nesting area for sea turtles so they ask that you don't leave chairs and tents on the beach at night and also that you close your drapes at night so the lights don't interfere with their natural process. Unfortunately not everyone abided by the request and that was disappointing. I would rather have seen a beach at daybreak that did not have chairs and tents set up. But overall there is a feeling there of how beaches are supposed to be. A little wild and undisturbed. Joyce and Martha were as nice and helpful as could be. They provide towels and sheets which really lightens the packing. Other beach houses I've stayed in have felt cold, as though they are just a structure on the ocean. This is not just a house, it is a home and that is obvious from the minute you walk in the door. The house is painted in soft quiet tones. Before we had even finished our week, we had booked two weeks for next year."
