  • Great Location in Barrier Dunes

"We just returned from our summer vacation at the beach. This is the seventh unit in the complex that we have rented and I would rate it at the top of the list. Even with Tropical Storm Colin the weather was great. Only Sunday night and Monday were rainouts. We were pleasantly surprised to find the unit actually looks better in person than what the pictures show. This unit is well furnished and stocked with most of the items that you need while at the beach. It is located very close to the tennis courts and smaller pool. There is a view of the Gulf from the master bedroom deck. The unit is pet friendly with laminate flooring and tile on the lower level. The owner was very responsive with an issue with the cable and internet and when the upstairs a/c needed repair. I highly recommend this unit."

  • Clean nice house, convenient location and great beach area

"My husband and I just recently stayed at the Sea Casa and really enjoyed it. It was the perfect size house for us two and our little dog who LOVES the beach. It was convenient to the Trading Post store (where you can pick up pretty much anything you need), an ice machine, ice cream shop, donut shop (get there early they sell out fast!) and much more. The house is exactly like the pictures and just a short minute walk to the beach. Some areas in the Cape seem to have lost a lot of the beach area due to erosion but this area had plenty of room for us to setup our tent and chairs and not worry about the tide coming in. We found everything we needed for our week long stay in the house. The kitchen is fully stocked, they supplied us with laundry detergent, both charcoal and gas grill and they even had some beach chairs that we used the first day since we hadn't bought our own yet. The basement area was perfect for my husband to store his fishing gear each day as well. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend anyone else to as well!"

  • Excellent

"Grand Escape is a very nice property, right on the beach. We spent a week there 4/30/16 - 5/7/16. There were a few minor maintenance issues that were addressed immediately once we brought them to the attention of the management company. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a nice quiet beach experience for a large group. There were only a handful of other people on the beach the entire week - almost like having a private beach to ourselves. The beach here is pet friendly and the houses next door did have dogs that barked in the mornings, but not too bad. In general, I consider the pet friendly beach a minor takeaway - I would rather be away from my and other peoples pets during my vacation. The house is decorated nicely and sufficiently upscale and clean with good furniture. The pictures online don't really do the house justice. We were surprised at how big the place was when we showed up - the pics made it look small, but it's definitely not small - we only had 6 in our party and at times when folks were on different floors it felt like you are there alone. It was fairly well stocked for cooking and has a gas grill on the kitchen level. We cooked for 6 people multiple nights without issues. One thing that would have been nice to have would be an ice cream scoop - maybe it's there and we just didn't find it. The elevator is also a bit finicky - but we figured it out well enough. If it was my house I would be complaining to the elevator company to fix it properly - it may need to be reset if you leave the door open longer than 5 minutes. There are signs saying this could result in an expensive service charge but we never had to do that - kind of absurd they would expect you to pay $$$ to fix their crummy elevator. I feel sure the maintenance company would have reset it for free if we needed it. I would definitely return to this place if I were planning to come back to Port St.Joe / Cape San Blas area. It's probably one of the nicer rentals in the area. We stayed on the Cape 1 other time about 4 years ago and that place was also very nice, but not quite as nice as this one."
