  • Fabulous & Relaxing!

"We loved Chasing Pirates and The Plantation -- one of our best vacations ever! The house is beautiful and the views of ocean stunning. The Plantation is just magical and lush -- we especially loved riding bikes everywhere, kayaking in the surf, dining under the twinkle lights of the screened porch, watching the dolphins, and eating oysters ever day! The house was extremely clean, and Tawana the owner was so helpful during vacation planning. We highly recommend Chasing Pirates. The location is perfect, you will love it."

  • Great Family Retreat

"We recently met our Florida family at the Sand Dollar and had a fabulous week there. There were 10 of us with almost all of us adults. We rented the Sand Dollar based on location to the beach and because it had a pool. We loved the house, especially the top floor covered porch. This was our first VRBO experience and over all we loved it. Having only one set of towels per person took some getting used to since I had 2 children with me. The washer was broken, but the owners had already ordered a new one and it was delivered a few days after our arrival. I would highly recommend the Sand Dollar for any large group."

  • Very comfy and well-equipped. Beautiful home!

"We spent July 17 - 24 at Morningside by the Sea and had a wonderful stay. The house is well appointed, clean and comfortable...just as advertised. We highly recommend it for consideration! The owner's giving our family access to the storage room for use of bikes, chairs and floats was much appreciated. The Gulf was warm, clear and calm and the uncrowded beach is a quick and pleasant walk from the house. The Plantation pool and clubhouse are a short bike ride along the paved path. Be sure to take the time to see some of the surrounding area. The lighthouse, State Park and Apalachicola are must sees. We bought great fresh local seafood to cook at home from Doug's on the island and Island View in East Point. For eating out try the Hole in the Wall and Owl Café in Apalachicola and Family Coastal in East Point. It was a fine vacation and we will be back!"

  • Great home for a reunion!

"My extended family had a wonderful Labor Day weekend celebrating my dad's birthday. The house is beautiful, with a great gathering space, but also allows for plenty of privacy. The bedrooms are well appointed, and beds very comfortable. We all enjoyed the gorgeous beach, the pool and hot tub, as well as going into Apalachicola. The kitchen was the best equipped of any home I've ever rented on the island! The owner was very responsive, and even called the first day to make sure everything was ok. Sitting on the veranda watching the sunrise, sunset or a fabulous thunderstorm, seeing the dolphins during the day or stars at night is the stuff memories are made of. Great place for a great trip!"
