  • Very Nice Beach Home

"Happy Our's is a very nice beach home ... only a relatively short walk to the beach. The beautiful native plants and trees plus its location make for a private feel. The property has been very well maintained and is extremely well furnished with only one major exception. Even though there are two separate dens and three bedrooms, there is really only one TV. Another tiny 13" TV has been provided but there's no way to adjust the color so you're stuck with a green hued tiny picture. You will also need to bring at least one large kitchen knife with you if you plan on cooking while on vacation. The screened in decks and private pool all have very comfortable furniture ... and one deck has a great hammock!"

"This was my 6th time staying at The Plantation and first time at this house. The bedrooms were all pretty nice and we had plenty of bathrooms for our group. The kitchen was upscale compared to some of the dated house on the island. The kitchen was also fully stocked with plates, pots, pans, silverware, platters, etc. We are into cooking and this property was perfect for this. The decks on both floors were spacious with plenty of room. Outside there was a fish cleaning station that came in handy. The pool area was clean and screened in. The only downside is that the pool wasn't heated. This time a year it doesn't get that much sunlight and none of us were able to use the pool at anytime of the day. We typically go to the beach and fish during the day, but love to swim after dinner and relax. However, not being able to use the pool because it was way to cold was a bummer. They did have a hot tub that made up for this, but after 20 minutes it would have been nice to cool down in the pool without freezing. The walk to the beach was less than 60 seconds so it made it very convenient and pleasant to haul our stuff over there. The owners had some random food delivered to us the very first night which was a great gesture and we ate it very fast. Overall I would recommend this property to other large groups. On a side note we couldn't tell if one of the two trashcans was recycle or not. They weren't very clearly marked. As much plastic and cans that we go through it would have made us a little more warm and fuzzy to know we were going green."

"My family and I have been coming to St. George for several years! We always enjoy picking out a new house to try and this one is definitely a favorite! We walked right down our own path to the ocean and had gorgeous views of the sunrise and sunset! This house was perfect, stocked with everything we needed and more -- LOVE THE GAMES AND PUPPIES UNDER WATER BOOKS, ADORABLE!!! Can't wait to come back ASAP!"

  • Awesome Bay Views, Beachy SGI Vibe, Great Fishing

"You get it all with this home. The views don't get any better. My husband wade fished and caught fish everyday. I walked 5 minutes to the beach with my dogs everyday via a cleared walking path through the pine trees. The community has a pool and weight room which we used a few times and was very nice.We spent every evening enjoying happy hour on the screened porch watching pelicans, dolphins and spying an occasional eagle. The house was tastefully decorated in a beachy sort of vibe and the beds were comfy (very important to my husband). The master bedroom has the most incredible view to wake up to each morning. The house was clean and met all of our expectations for a week at the bay/beach. We will be back."
