  • Awesome Bungalow!

"We just returned from our first visit to St. George Island and our stay in Mariner's Compass was very nice. We had 4 adults and 1 9 year old. The upstairs loft was great for her and the 2 downstairs bedrooms were perfect and have the most awesome view. The kitchen is nicely renovated and very well stocked. Whether home or away, there are always maintenance issues and we experienced two while there - the A/C wasn't working when we arrived, the management company promptly brought over a portable unit to cool us down for the night. A few days later we discovered a water leak underneath the house, someone was there that day to repair it. Awesome house - loved the walkway to the beach and the neighbors who own the house next door are super nice. The only thing that could improve are the couches in the living room - beautiful to look at, but not comfortable at all and would also be nice if there were TVs in the bedrooms. We loved St. George and will definitely be back!"

  • Very comfy and well-equipped. Beautiful home!

"We spent July 17 - 24 at Morningside by the Sea and had a wonderful stay. The house is well appointed, clean and comfortable...just as advertised. We highly recommend it for consideration! The owner's giving our family access to the storage room for use of bikes, chairs and floats was much appreciated. The Gulf was warm, clear and calm and the uncrowded beach is a quick and pleasant walk from the house. The Plantation pool and clubhouse are a short bike ride along the paved path. Be sure to take the time to see some of the surrounding area. The lighthouse, State Park and Apalachicola are must sees. We bought great fresh local seafood to cook at home from Doug's on the island and Island View in East Point. For eating out try the Hole in the Wall and Owl Café in Apalachicola and Family Coastal in East Point. It was a fine vacation and we will be back!"

  • A Most Excellent Beach Vacation

"If you haven’t been to St. George - GO! Beautiful area. We loved the house. The layout works well in that all bedrooms are on the bottom floor and the living area/kitchen are upstairs. HGTV would be proud of the newly renovated master bath. Sleek and modern. The living area/ kitchen is one big open room upstairs. Porch views are uninhibited by other houses; dolphins and their entourage were seen every day. We suggested to Kelly and Tom to get some type of chaise lounge for the decks as this area promotes sleep. This house is close to the southern end of the beach which seemed to make it more private. Very nice house with wonderful, responsive owners. Maria, Aye, Urai (Urai came all the way from Thailand for this vacation)"

  • Super Great, Wonderful!!

"A Seaside Retreat is a wonderful house, we have stayed at this house several times. It is super, everything was freshly painted, so clean you would think it was a new house, stocked with everything you might need. Love the kitchen!! The weather was stormy during our trip but we didn't mind because we enjoyed the house so much. The weather was nice one day so we got to enjoy the pool and the hot tub is great. We are looking forward to our next trip. Amazing House!"
