  • Incredible Superbowl Victory Memories reside here

"Baycation will always be memorable because my team won the Superbowl while I was there. At first I was panicked because the cable wasn't working, neither the internet. Fixed both and all was good and got even better after our win. As a home base for exploring the forgotten coast Baycation met all our needs, but we're (just 2 adults and one dog) not fancy. Quiet and privacy are critical to me and both were ample. I would have liked a screen door on the water side and more comfortable outside seating. When I asked, the owner provided additional chairs. When the "Northers" blew, as they apparently do in winter, it was pretty cool on the bay side. I too would have liked a non-skid pan and in spite of all the coffee pots, couldn't make coffee my first morning for lack of a filter. The outfitting was spare and next time I'll remember to bring everything I need. I'm hoping there will be a next time, I really hated to leave!"

  • Awesome Home

"We have been coming to SGI for 8 yrs now and this has been our favorite house. There is so much room. We had 14 total and still could play hide-n-seek with no problem. The kids enjoyed the pool, fishing from the dock and playing on the pool table. The whole outside areas are screened so no bugs was a plus. The smaller living area had kid games so there was always something to entertain everyone. The views and sunsets were beautiful. The kitchen (which is huge) was fully equipped, plenty of linens and lots of outdoor seating. I recommend getting a golf cart. We took bikes to ride around with the kids but a cart would be better for a quick ride to store or beach. The owner was very helpful and fast to respond to any questions or concerns regarding our stay. He made it an easy process. There is a boat ramp but we had some difficulty using it with the way the driveway is laid out and with our boat being 24 ft. Our truck and trailer was very tight, but the ramp is very nice. The dock is large, which gave us lots of room to all fish. It is well maintained. We found out on the first night however, there is no water for the fish cleaning sink station (we used a water hose)on the dock. Nor is there lighting for those who do a lot of night fishing. The only thing I was not happy about was no tvs in every bedroom. We had 6 kids that all wanted to watch something different at bed time. So that was a disappointment. But we will be staying at this house again next year. There are too many positives not to stay here from now on....... Thanks So Much!!!!!!!!"

  • Island Charm - 3 Day Get Away

"We spent 3 great days at the Island Charm house. The house was clean, bright, and furnished with everything you need. With two King beds then the sets of bunks and a pull out couch, its the ideal place for two couples with kids, or like our case bring the Grand Parents. There is a clear view of the ocean from every front window and the walkway over to the beach is only a few feet down the street. You can spend a lot more for a house that sits right on the beach, but if want to stay at the beach and have a lot of extra money for food, beach rentals, and other fun vacation stuff then stay at the Island Charm."
