"It was great! This was our second time staying here. The private beach is perfect ! This time, I even had my seven week old baby and it was so nice being able to be on the beach with him but be super close to go in as needed. Between my brother and I, we had 6 kids and they waves were perfect for skim boarding! Across the street is one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. It's About 25 steps away! Best oysters ever!!!!"

  • Very enjoyable

"Great relaxing time. We enjoyed the condo and the setting. It was comfortable, clean and convenient. It was located where we wanted to be, close to the pier, and walking distance to the beach. It was quite and we loved the decorations. The book at the condo "Road Unseen" would be a good book to read if you have time. Thanks for a great time. We hope to return here on our next trip."

  • I'm in love with Indian Pass now!

"I LOVED Indian Pass, and this house was a good part of that. It really is beautiful - the photos, as others have said, do not do it justice. I believe the owner is an artist and has painted much of the bright and simple art on the walls - lovely! The view is wonderful. Our beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The neighborhood is wonderful - a perfect, secluded vacation neighborhood with oyster shell roads, pretty landscaping, the pool a few steps away, and then the wonderful beach. It was really hot and humid, but the house had great air conditioning, and the heat didn't matter when you turned that corner onto the boardwalk, and the ocean breeze hit your face. The pool was lovely. I was bitten by a bug one time. We live near Nashville, and we get eaten alive here when we go outside. Chris, the manager, was really nice (Thank you, Chris!). The internet did not always work, and I discovered I loved that - I found I enjoyed experiencing our family and nature much more. We were only there five nights, so we didn't do much extra. I'd love to kayak there some time. I loved Port St. Joe. It's very small and pretty and uncrowded, with enough shopping for me and a few good places to eat. It has a CVS, a Dollar General grocery and a Piggly Wiggly and many little boutiques. We didn't have trouble finding anything we needed. We went to Appalachicola one day on the advice of many, and there were too many people for us! But it's a lovely little shopping district with lots of shops and restaurants. We had a weird experience with a rude shopkeeper, but hopefully you won't have the same! The other shopkeepers were really nice. We drove to the state park and Cape San Blas one day (very close) - the beach is prettier (whiter sand and clearer water), the waves are bigger, and the surf is not as shallow as Indian Pass, but there are more people. The shallowness and smaller swells of IP were perfect for us, as we had a two-yr-old and a five-yr-old who'd never been to the beach before and were a little leery. There are also so many intact shells on Indian Pass! We also saw sting rays feeding close to shore, and two big crabs that had caught one and were eating it! My grandkids, our son and daughter-in-law, who got there before we did, were in the surf the first day, and a pod of dolphins swam by about 12 feet from them! Our dogs could run on the beach! How awesome is that? Thank you for such a wonderful vacation!"

  • Highly recommend!

"The duplex was the perfect fit for our two families! Plenty of space for everyone. You can mingle or you can find a quiet place to just sit and read. And the house had everything we needed. We also enjoyed some great seafood at the local restaurants. The beach is amazing! Clean, white sand, and warm, clear water. And it's not crowded at all! It's like having your own private beach, right outside your front door! There's also lots of marine life for those who like nature. I saw sea creatures I'd never seen before. And lots of shells! The kids loved to play in the waves. The weather was surprisingly cool for summertime, and I never saw a single mosquito. The house has two big porches, one downstairs and one upstairs. Both provide an excellent view of the ocean and the beautiful sunsets. If we weren't on the beach, we were relaxing on the porch. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the house uses geothermal cooling/heating (as an engineer, I thought that was neat!). The owner was very caring, making sure we had everything we needed and offering advice on the best places to eat. Very friendly and hospitable! We're already making plans for another visit."
