  • Great vacation at the Cape

"Our family, including our 4-legged furry child, enjoyed our week at Cape San Blas! We had a very restful and fun vacation. Chris and Tom's condo was the perfect size for the 5 of us (2 adults, 2 children & one well-behaved dog). We enjoyed the pools at Barrier Dunes as well as the easy walk to the beach. The beach was beautiful and very family and dog-friendly. We also loved finding beautiful shells along the shore and in the shallows. We did discover that you are required to remove your tents/beach umbrellas from the beach each night due to the sea turtles who come onto the beach to dig their nests and lay eggs during the night. There were several turtle nests marked with caution tape there. The condo was very clean and true to our expectations from the VRBO description. While there we enjoyed dinner at Cone Heads (right outside the Barrier Dunes community) and at Shipwrecked on the other side of Port St. Joe. We also highly recommend the Trading Post that carries most anything you need (we purchased some food items and t-shirts for souvenirs). Also, you need to stop by Weber's Donut Shop on the Cape for freshly made donuts. But once they sell out, you're out of luck until the next morning. Everyone we encountered on the Cape and in Port St. Joe was very friendly. Overall, we had a great vacation experience. Thank you to Chris and Tom for allowing us to enjoy your home!"

  • Location Can't Be Beat

"I cannot imagine any beach fanatic not loving the location of this condo. It is right on the bay and directly across the street from the public walkover to the gulf. It has three patios; the first is on the same level as the covered parking area and is literally on the sands of the bay; the second is on the same level as the living room / kitchen; the third is accessed from the master bedroom. All three patios have ample seating (picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, porch swings, etc), and we spent more hours on them than we could count over our two weeks in the condo. The ground floor condo also has a shower and hose area for rinsing off sand. Part of the patio areas are shaded all day; parts of them are sunny. The pool and clubhouse are directly next door - literally steps from the condo. We could go for a quick dip and then walk back over to our private patio to lounge instead of sitting at the pool with neighbors. The pool was busy some days, especially during the Blue Angels week, but it was never over full. We never had issues with noise even though several large parties used the clubhouse during the time we were there. Since this condo is right on the bay the sunsets are astounding. Also, the bay offers calm waters for when travelers need a break from the waves on the gulf side. Peg Leg Pete's is a 1/4 of a mile away and an easy walk .There are trolley stops both directions within easy walking distance. There is a Tom Thumb convenience store that is very well-stocked with minor grocery and beach items next door to Peg Leg Pete's. You do have to walk across the street to access the public beach walkover to the gulf, but the street was never hectic; it's not a dangerous walk at all, and it takes about three minutes to walk over to amazing, crystal-clear, emerald waters. The condo worked great - the AC, dishwasher, washer and dryer, plumbing, etc. It was all great. The condo is showing some wear. A good coat of paint and a few updates could prove beneficial. Also, the kitchen was a little disorganized. If you are a gourmet cook looking to prepare a high-class meal for a crowd, you might be disappointed. But this condo is not about gourmet kitchens and ultra modern, sleek furnishings. It's about sun and sand and a location that absolutely cannot be beat. If you love being outdoors on your beach vacation, then this is the perfect location. You will not regret those patios for one second."

  • Perfect Condo For Two!

"We just returned from a week stay at this condo and it was exactly as described! It's was clean, cheery, gave that beach feeling the minute we walked in! It is small, but perfect for two people and has all the stuff you need in the little kitchen! The view on the balcony was beautiful!! We will be staying here again in the future! Indiana fans of the condo for sure!!"

  • Dream's End

"We have stayed at Dream's End for the past 10 years with our family and sometimes extended family. We have always had a wonderful experience. The house has met our family 's needs. We love the front and back decks with views of the bay and the Gulf. The outdoor shower is also a plus. Jackie is a fabulous manager and host. She always visits with a treat for our grandchildren. We look forward to next year's visit."
