  • GREAT LOCATION/GREAT APARTMENT

"First off--what a great location. If you're looking for a place to party with all of the noise, get someplace on Ocean Drive north of 6 Street, but if you want to have a quiet, comfortable, beach-front location that is only 2.5 blocks from all of the partying, this is the place. You've got Big Pink (great restaurant), drug stores, corner markets, deli's, street cafes, clubs, etc. all within minutes, and you can't get closer to the beach. Plus, there's a pool and laundry facilities (bring quarters). I like the laundry on-site because I can bring 1/2 of what I need and do laundry on a slow morning. My only suggestion to the owner, who was always responsive, is that it would be nice to have some amenities in the apartment. I've stayed at VRBO apartments in Paris, Nice, NYC, and other places and they all had some basic cooking supplies--salt/pepper, basic spices, cooking oil, butter, coffee and creamer and tea, and condiments. I suspect that most of these items are things that people buy and then just leave. In fact, every place I've stayed also had left over liquor to share. (Maybe that's not such a good idea to share opened bottles, but it's never been an issue for me.) I also think a few writing pens, pads of paper, some simple games (cards, Yahtzee, etc.) and a radio would have rounded out the amenities. Maybe a ledger for guests to write their name and their suggestions for Miami Beach area explorations for the next travelers? And a map with busses and which to take to go to specific points on the Island as well as Miami would have saved us a lot of time. The bathroom was nice, but didn't have adequate soap, and no shampoo. Those details would make this apartment go from great to perfect! I'd DEFINITELY stay here again--the bed was comfortable and the sleeper in the living room was comfortable! Oh, one more thing--I'm pretty sure there is a picture of the bedroom with a television--there was no TV in that room. I didn't mind because I hate watching TV in bed. And also know that access to the bathroom is through the bedroom--again, no inconvenience, but if you're traveling with someone you don’t know very well who is using the bedroom, know that whomever uses the lay-down sofa in the LR--you'll have to get into the bedroom to use the bathroom. Finally, having two fobs for front entry would have been very helpful. Overall, a great place that could go from great to perfect with just a little more attention to detail."

  • Beautiful, spacious property overlooking the ocean

"I stayed here with my family - husband, son, sister and niece. It is the second year in a row we have stayed here and we LOVE it. My parents lives in the Yacht Club just down the road, so it is very convenient walk. Also directly across the street from a park with a great playground for kids and the beach. Next door to big pink!!! And just a short walk to all of the "touristy" attractions on ocean drive and Collins. Highly recommend!"
