  • Location, the view and oh the beach!

"South Beach! If you've been , you know the location is great. Quiet building, but you can walk a couple blocks (to 5th) to find Walgreens, the liquor store, cafe and TGIF's. The views from the windows couldn't get any better, and I took amazing shots with my zoom lens. The bed, a dbl, was comfortable. Pictures are accurate, pool water is cool as it didn't see sun on it while we were there (the palm trees are wonderful)...but who cares, as the beach is right through the gate at the back. Condo has everything you need to make for a great vacation.(Beach chairs etc). Walk to the Pier Point along the beach or on the path, to watch the cruise ships set sail on Friday and Sat. just after 4:00.We unplugged the noisy air conditioner in the bedroom at night and used the ceiling fan. Bring prepackaged coffee filters as there is a hotel style Mr. Coffee machine only. The Majestic Hotel has a great breakfast. The market is at Washington and 2nd( or in that area). Spend one morning on the beach for sunrise, the rest you can watch from bed! Cab it or bus it, up to the Marriott Courtyard Hotel, have a drink in the courtyard oasis bar, then walk the boardwalk back to South Beach for a great afternoon, then head home, and put your feet up, You`ve earned it...Thank you Terry for letting us `visit`."

  • Outstanding visit to Deerfield Beach

"Bottom line up front: We had a great time- Dave and Heidi were friendly and responsive and easy to work with, the property is in great shape and exactly as billed, the location is interesting and convenient to the beach, and we can't wait to go back again. As other have commented- the place is very well maintained. There is a modern kitchen with most everything you'd need, a full size washer/dryer, two bedrooms (both with TVs), a nice sitting area (another TV) and an eating area. Oh, and a double LazyBoy recliner, which is really nice after a long day. Two full bathrooms. A private parking spot (this is key) makes it possible to abandon your car and make the five minute walk to the beach while the rest of the world is trying to find parking. The condo is on the 2nd floor right on the main drag through town, and it certainly did get loud on Friday and Saturday nights until about 2AM but not obtrusively so with the windows shut and A/C on. Other nights were much quieter. If you are a light sleeper you might want a sound machine or earplugs for those two nights. There is significant construction going on immediately behind the condo- a major expansion is in progress. There was surprisingly little work being done the week we were there, so noise was not an issue but it would be worth checking on the status of the project with Dave-- I could see it being a noise issue if things were really going full speed there. People mentioned the beds- the 2nd bedroom has a very soft mattress, but again not an issue for us (translation: the kids slept great after a day at the beach!). We were there with our two kids- and again the location is great because it's walking distance to the beach and even the 4 year old had no troubles making the walk. The extra touches were nice- laundry detergent, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper provided makes it so you don't have to buy tons of supplies. Shopping was easy at Publix a mile away. Plenty of great food opportunities in walking distance- Whale's Rib was excellent. There is good ice cream to be had close by, and if you want a dinner worth making a trip for, head to Charm City Burgers (a short drive and very crowded, but so worth it). Being able to eat in a few times helped save cost and was very convenient. If you are there with kids- we did a few side trips to a great child's water park (Quiet Waters Splash Park- $5 and awesome) and Butterfly World (expensive, but cool if you've never been"

  • Great price and location!

"The apartment is VERY well-located. It was quite small for a family and it's dated, although almost everything was functioning properly. It has a good kitchen with plenty of utensils. The pool area was very nice. The ocean was right next to the pool. You can see the ocean from every window! The beach chairs and umbrellas were also a big bonus. The price was also very good, especially for the great oceanfront location on Ocean Dr. The landlord always responds very quickly and was very nice! The apartment had a lot of towels and bedlinnens, which was great. The availability of washing machines and dryers was also very convenient. Downsides: AC is very loud, but does work very well. As was already known to us, there is no parking available, and south beach parking is very expensive and difficult. We used the garage on 7 and Collins which was the cheapest nearby. If you just go for the beach you won't need a car, but if you want to explore Miami, outlet malls and maybe the Keys a car is a must. Everytime we cooked, the smoke alarm would go off, because you could only open one window and the hood(?) was out of order. There also were a lot of bugs that somehow came in at night, once even a massive roach, eventhough we kept everything clean and we threw out the trash multiple times a day. The bathroom has a very loud ventilator which turns on automatically with the light. It still gets vert humid in there after a shower. All and all it is a very good deal and we really enjoyed our stay. We would recommend staying here, keeping in mind the downsides (especially parking and the fact that it's dated). You just can't beat the location and price!"

  • Wonderful Miami Get-Away!

"We enjoyed our stay! The unit was sparkling clean, which is extremely important to me. The check in process was easy and so was the payment transfer. I cannot say enough about the amazing views from this floor, especially at night! There is a Publix just a block down for picking up breakfast items. The staff at Marenas was amazing- they treat their guests in true resort fashion. We loved the beach service! They even provided beach toys daily! The beach attendants were so courteous and kind. I cannot say enough good things about our vaca!"
