  • Mary Poppins....practically perfect in every way!

"A five star rating has been rewarded to this property because the space lent itself to allow my family, total 7, and extended family, total 6, the space to be together as well as alone. The many bedrooms with on-suites, gave all of us the space to be completely comfortable as if we were staying in a resort! The house is equipped with all the comforts that make a home. The pristine hardwood floors and sturdy construction helps to sound proof the rooms, while the quaint decor is comfortable and homey. It's not over the top, making all of us extremely cozy, from the youngest,16 to the oldest,50+. The location is residential, but close enough to walk to many of the quaint shops, services and restaurants. We took full advantage of the beaches, many decks with fabulous views, pool and hot tub as well as the game room. The nicest part of sharing this home for the week was watching all of our family members play games, chat and low key the TV! The island was breathtaking with white sand beaches a couple of blocks away! The locals are very friendly and safe atmosphere was felt by all. The plus to this home, I have rented others, was the property manager! He was the best to work with a true plus to the property. Make your next memory at the "Big Yellow House"!"

  • VIP Experience

"This property made us all feel like celebrities! Breathtaking views of the bay and the Rod and Reel Pier. Both the interior and exterior were beautiful. The only problem was trying to choose between the relaxing pool/patio area at the front and the stunning ocean views and wildlife at the back. We saw lots of fish, birds, crabs and other sea creatures. We were also treated to several dolphin shows from the patio as they swam by hunting for dinner. The huge sliding doors that can be completely opened to the ocean view were a big plus. We watched the sunrise on the beach in our pj's while drinking coffee every morning and walked the beach to Bean Point for sunset every night. It is a short walk or bike ride to shopping and many amazing restaurants. Definitely a good idea to saunter over to the Rod and Reel Pier for breakfast or to the City Pier for dinner. Definitely plan a visit. You will not regret it!"

  • Exceptional Florida Beach home

"WOW! I signed in to rave about our stay at this beautiful cottage and saw the verbiage of the last person rating this home. They were there the week prior to our arrival. We arrived March 13 and I’m shocked and puzzled to see their comments. Our experience was no where near the dismal explanation of their stay and experience. We loved the sophistication and the charm of this elegant cottage. It is decorated with antiques and Persian rugs that are antique, but not in need of repair or replacement. It is the decorating that gives this cottage a charm of days gone past. The wood paneled ceiling was charming and not your usual white on white new beach house that is common and not what we wanted for our vacation. We did not smell any “urine” odors and we found the cottage extremely clean with crisp linens upon arrival. We especially loved the bath sheets the owner provided instead of the usual bath towels. The spreads were not in need of replacement as stated and we were extremely pleased with the home. The grounds were not in need of upkeep. We were having such an amazing time on the beach and around the pool, we did not have time to truly inspect the details of the landscaping, but the grounds were in no way impeding our enjoyment of our vacation. The “wooden shutters” that the prior occupant describes are “Bahama shutters” that are there for protection from hurricanes in the front bedroom and on one side of the home. They certainly are typical to Florida for style and era. I’m certain that this person has minimal experience with homes on Anna Maria that are outfitted with the style of shutters on older homes. The shutters in no way distracted from our stay and provided extra privacy. The pool cover edges were slightly disintegrated, but in no way interfered with our enjoyment of the large heated pool. We have rented other villas in the past with “heated” pools, and this home truly does have a heated pool. Most don’t get up to the comfortable temperature of this pool. The toilet seat in one bathroom had some scratches on the paint of the seat, but in no way was in need of replacing. The grounds had a few weeds, but the trees and the flowers were gorgeous. This home is privately fenced and provides amazing privacy for our family, especially from the pool area. The beach view is a few steps to the gate and once you open the gate, “VOILA” you see the gorgeous beach. Jana was an extremely helpful hostess and I just don’t understand the comments about her"

"Staying at Lime Cottage was just what we expected. Charming, cosy and convenient. Great location for the beach and what a great beach! The cottage itself was very comfortable, kitchen had every appliance if you wanted to cook. We found a few great places to eat out. Rod and Reel, the Boat House and the German Resataurant Hamburg. We spent most days by the very private pool watching the small lizards going about their daily business. Chris the owner was always quick to answer any questions you might of had. If we ventured back to AMI we will be sure to book cottage again."
